We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Bayron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paola, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I believe risk is the Universe’s way of inviting us into alignment. It’s a signpost pointing toward growth. I’ve learned that staying safe doesn’t lead to breakthroughs, it’s the challenges we face that ignite the desire to seek more.

Every major leap I’ve taken, from shifting careers to stepping into entrepreneurship, to diving into the deep end of the ocean with my spiritual leadership journey, were all changes that brought me feelings of uncertainty. Those were also the moments when my inner knowing was tested and the stakes were at its highest. Taking leaps of faith is something I now see as a sacred invitation to align more fully with my purpose. It’s not about making reckless decisions, it’s about listening to intuition and choosing courage anyway, because acquiring peace is far more important than maintaining stability in a place you don’t feel at ease.

To this day, my most rewarding experiences have all come from moments when I said yes before I felt ready. I’ve had to walk away from comfort in exchange for my calling. It’s how I’ve created spaces of healing, impacted lives globally, and found clarity in my own voice. Without risk, I wouldn’t have discovered the fullness of who I am, nor could I have helped others do the same. The trust I’ve built in my relationship with God and my spiritual team of light, especially during the moments when I felt stuck and lost, has always preceded transformation. I learned how to surrender when resistance became too heavy to carry. From losing my first job, to being homeless, to experiencing postpartum depression and loneliness, to my pseudo-seizures, being paralyzed for hours at a time, hospital visits, and ambulance ride-alongs. I now understand that every detour, every rejection, and every unknown path was guiding me closer to my mission on earth.

Today, I stand as an Emmy award-winning journalist, speaker, podcast host, spiritual leader, shaman, soon-to-be behavior analyst, RBT, reiki healer, psychic medium, a devoted wife and mother. Every step of the way, I chose faith over fear. Risk was always a sacred doorway, and I’ve learned that when you walk through it with intention and heart, life meets you on the other side with a mission, power, bliss, and freedom.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is rooted in the divine feminine energy. It’s the sacred merging of intuition, storytelling, healing, and spiritual leadership. I don’t just create; I channel, I listen, I feel. Whether through tarot readings, mediumship, reiki, or even speaking on a stage, or creating spiritual retreats, my work is a reflection of how much love I pour into others to help them find themselves and their higher purpose. I’ve walked through fire without losing my softness. My journey weaves together grounded reality with ethereal beauty, reminding people that they can be both strong and tender, fierce and kind, human and divine. It wasn’t easy getting here. I’ve been through homelessness, postpartum depression, physical illness, spiritual awakenings, identity shifts, and moments of defeat. There were nights I begged God for answers and mornings I woke up to signs in my dreams. Tarot cards became mirrors. Mediumship became my medicine. My pain became my prophecy. And through it all, I kept hearing the same message: You are meant to lead. You are meant to create. You are meant to help others remember who they are.

True power is born when you stop chasing approval and start honoring your soul’s path. While mine wasn’t linear, it was divinely designed. I see how I had to fall apart to become whole. Today, I serve as a channel for others, helping them navigate grief, identity, trauma, and purpose through spiritual tools that reconnect them to their own inner compass. I hold space for people to meet themselves with grace, just as I had to do for myself.

What I want the world to know is this: My brand isn’t just about spirituality. It’s about reclamation. Standing in your power, finding your voice, your softness, your boundaries, your dreams, your light. My work is for the women who’ve been silenced, the mothers finding their way back to self, the souls who’ve felt too much and can’t see past the darkness and help them realize, it’s because they were light all along.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My husband and I love traveling around the city and we normally are impromptu with the site seeing. But where we go, we assure that it fills our heart and soul. It’s always places with good music, culture, and delicious food because it always makes us feel right at home.

I’d say the day would start with a cozy coffee or brunch at Café Demetrio. Then we’d head to Key Biscayne, my sacred space. We’d sit by the lighthouse, listen to the waves, breathe, meditate. The beach is where I always reconnect with myself and I think it offers peace quite frankly to anyone.

As a proud Cuban- American, the food I choose always carries my heritage. Therefore, another day, we’d grab croquetas (croquettes) or batidos (milkshakes) at La Carreta, Versailles, or at one of the best spots in Little Havana, Sanguich. At night, when I am not on mommy duties, I love going to Casa Tua or Villagio for a beautiful, intimate dinner and then, head out to Ball & Chain to dance the night away. Another day would be a late afternoon vibe with pizza and steak salad at Narbona, followed by live music by the water at Boater’s Grill. I also enjoy outdoor activities, so in one of those tours, we’d bike through Bayfront Park and share ice cream at Häagen-Dazs because a midnight cookies & cream ice cream waffle cone, always hits the spot!

As a mom, I love places that are kid-friendly, but still full of wonder. So if it’s a family trip, we’d explore the Frost Museum, the Zoo, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, and go paddle boarding at the beach. Because I’m also a storyteller and soul-seeker, we’d carve out time to visit local libraries and historical museums too.

This city is my home, it is layered with spirit and sabor (flavor). To me, Miami isn’t just a destination, it’s an experience, and I’d want anybody who comes to visit, to feel lighter, freer, and full of magic leaving it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is no doubt in my heart that I am where I am today because of how others poured into my cup during my darkest hours. During my time of solitude, I found comfort in podcasts and self-help books and an episode that forever changed my mindset of needing to stay anywhere due to comfort and fear, was Jay Shetty’s episode “How I Became a Monk”. It reminded me that stillness is sacred, that purpose often emerges from silence, and that service is the highest calling. Brene Brown’s “A Call to Courage” aside from making me sob, gave me permission to be both vulnerable and powerful, to tell the truth even when my voice trembled and to show up to the arena bruised. Laura Lynne Jackson’s book “Signs” helped me trust in the unseen, the synchronicities, the whispers from the other side. It also helped me feel less crazy about my mediumship. And Dr. James Doty’s “Into the Magic Shop” reawakened my belief in miracles and that manifestation was always achievable.

Beyond the books and mentors, there are two souls who walk beside me every single day and deserve every ounce of recognition. My husband, my rock, my witness, my safe place. He has stood beside me through every version of myself, never once questioning the millions of pivots, spiritual awakenings, career leaps, and wild dreams I had. He saw me even when I was still learning how to see myself. And our daughter, our sunflower, Layla. She came into my world when I was still learning how to hold my own light, and yet she became the brightest beam of all. Her presence has healed me, humbled me, and reminded me that love is the most powerful force on Earth. Thank you to the teachers of the mind, the keepers of my heart, and the little girl who gave me a reason to bloom again.
