We had the good fortune of connecting with Paolo Cadegiani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paolo, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Like most innovative products, it is a problem that feeds the inspiration. “As a semi-professional athlete, I’ve struggled my whole life trying to keep up with a proper and balanced diet. It didn’t take me long to understand that I couldn’t deal with all the prepping, cooking and cleaning every day. I thought…there must be a way to have healthy, tasty, long lasting and ready to eat food, but how? In order to achieve the results, I wanted, I had to reinvent the whole food concept

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m originally from Italy, a country with a very rich tradition in food. That helped me a lot in developing my business. Italy is also a country with a strong cultural root. The environment around inspired me every day and gave me all the tools to build a strong personality which is a ‘must’ when you are facing an entrepreneurial career.

I believe that when you go outside from your comfort zone, is where the magic happens. When you take a risk, most of the times, you are putting yourself in an uncomfortable situation but, the good part, is that you will do whatever it takes to make your decision a winning one and in order to do that you will put efforts and energies that you didn’t even know to have inside of you. As for now, the risk I took, paid out 90% of the time. So, I will continue with this mindset. Talking about me, I can say all the effort that I put in every day and the kind of obsessions that I had for my business helped me target the problems and address them properly.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I will definitely invite them over first. I really enjoy being at home, relaxing, The amenities where I live have an amazing view, so I always cook a nice barbecue for them as a welcome dinner. Afterwards as a good Italian, I love eating pizza and pasta, so I recommend to my friends ‘ Hosteria romana’ and ‘Forte dei Marmi’, one of the best restaurants in Miami. I’m a really quiet person, so I don’t enjoy going clubbing. I would rather grab a drink with my friends and have a nice conversation.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
One of the books that teaches me that no matter what, you need to keep believing in your dreams and that consistency and perseverance are the key to success is Shoe Dog, by Nike co-founder Phil Knight. The history of Nike from its early challenges to its evolution into one of the world’s most recognized and profitable companies
