We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Kelly Palmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Alma Frequenzs was born from a calling to help people by creating a safe space for inner peace, nervous system restoration and self discovery.

I have always felt that mental health is a crucial yet often overlooked aspect of well-being. During the Covid years, this crisis reached an all-time high, making it even more evident that people needed holistic ways to heal, restore balance, and reconnect with themselves.
Having been born and raised on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, where music and rhythms are a way of life, I have always been deeply connected to sound. The way vibrations move through the body, shifting energy and emotions, has fascinated me since childhood. With a degree in Psychology and a passion for holistic wellness, I knew I wanted to combine ancient wisdom with modern science to help others create more moments of stillness, expand their consciousness, and make healthier lifestyle choices—ultimately becoming the best version of themselves.

The word Alma, meaning soul in Spanish, reflects the heart of my brand: a journey inward, using sound as a bridge to healing and transformation. Just as some sounds can make you want to dance and move, others—specifically tuned healing frequencies—can slow brainwaves, shift energy, and calm the nervous system. Through crystal bowls, ocean drums, chimes, and other sound healing instruments, I help guide the mind and body into a relaxed, meditative state, moving from stress and anxiety to clarity and renewal. This practice has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep, enhance creativity, and bring a sense of deep peace.
Through Alma Frequenzs, I provide transformative wellness experiences, including: Private and Group Sound Healing sessions (also known as Sound Baths), Corporate Wellness sessions, and Mindful celebrations and retreats.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work is deeply rooted in a calling to be of service. I wanted to be of service by creating sacred spaces for healing, stillness, and transformation.

What sets me apart is the way I blend Psychology, ancient sound healing techniques, and holistic wellness into each experience. With a degree in Psychology and a deep understanding of how sound frequencies impact brainwaves, emotions, and energy, I craft experiences that aren’t just relaxing but truly restorative and transformational. Alma Frequenzs isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about helping people tune inward, shift their energy, and create intentional moments of stillness in their fast-paced lives.

One of the things I’m most proud of is seeing the shift in people after a session—when they walk in carrying stress and leave with a sense of peace and clarity. It’s a reminder that we all have the ability to heal ourselves—sometimes, we just need the right tools and environment to access that inner power.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t always easy. Like many, I had moments of doubt—wondering if people would understand the power of sound healing and meditation, questioning how to turn my passion into a sustainable business, and wondering what judgement I would receive from people who thought this was all too “woo-woo” or even spiritual. The biggest challenge was breaking through the noise in an industry where wellness can sometimes feel commercialized, and “ripping the bandaid” as they say. Just starting to put myself out there, regardless of what people thought. I wanted to make sure Alma Frequenzs stayed true to its mission—to help people not just feel good for a moment but truly shift their energy and transform their well-being.

During Covid, I saw firsthand how deeply people needed mental and emotional healing. That time confirmed my purpose and pushed me to step into this work fully. I overcame challenges by staying true to my vision, continuously educating myself, and trusting that the right people would be drawn to what I offer.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is not a boring day in Miami! I would start our day out with a hard Yoga sculpt class at Breakfree Movement (one of the yoga studios in Coral Gables that I have hosted Sound Healing experiences at), then I would go to Lipe House of Wellness for sauna and cold plunge (hot-cold therapy). Id also make some time to relax in their EEF system room. Then, Id go to Pura Vida in South Miami for lunch and order a Jen’s Herb salad. I’d then drive to South Beach for a relaxing afternoon by the ocean waves, take a cleansing plunge in the water, then snack on fresh fruits and cold pressed juices till dinner time. For dinner, Id probably go to Uchi, my favorite sushi spot in town! I’d order all sorts of sushi and wouldn’t miss the Uchi green salad of course! And to finish the night, and get our last steps in, we’d walk around Design District and look at all the graffiti work! Im not much of a night owl so I’d be in bed ideally by 10 or 11pm! HA!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A shoutout to my parents for always encouraging me to pursue my passions, and for taking me to meditation workshops when I was young and showing me to always trust my inner wisdom; and to my husband for always going with my crazy ideas! Also a shoutout to Joe Dispenza’s “Becoming Supernatural” for explaining in so many more ways than one, how we can shift our own energy and become our own healers.
