Meet Patrick Coles | Producer & DJ

We had the good fortune of connecting with Patrick Coles and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Patrick, why did you pursue a creative career?
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up drumming in my family’s band, which gave me a deep connection to rhythm and live performance from a young age. Over time, I started playing with other bands, and each experience helped shape my sound and broaden my creative vision. Eventually, I realized that working solo gave me the freedom to fully express myself without compromise—and that’s when I discovered electronic music. Producing allowed me to bring my ideas to life exactly how I imagined them, and that sense of creative control and personal expression is what drew me deeper into a solo artistic path.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is rooted in rhythm—I grew up drumming in my family’s band, and that foundation has shaped everything I do as a DJ and producer today. What sets me apart is my ability to blend organic grooves with electronic energy. I’m not just trying to make tracks that hit in a club—I’m trying to create moments that people remember.
Switching from bands to producing solo music wasn’t easy, but it gave me full creative freedom. There were a lot of late nights, a lot of trial and error, but also a lot of growth. What I’m most proud of is building a sound that feels true to me—and watching people connect with it on the dance floor is something I’ll never get tired of.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that consistency beats perfection. Keep showing up, keep refining your sound, and don’t wait for everything to feel “ready.” I want the world to know that my brand is about connection—through sound, through movement, and through moments that live beyond the music.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to Miami, I’d give them the full house music experience. We’d hit South Pointe Beach during the day, then dive into the nightlife. spots like Floyd, Do Not Sit on the Furniture, or Factory Town. We’d spend a day in Wynwood for art, food at Coyo Taco, and drinks at Lagniappe. Midweek we’d chill on a boat with some friends, go to a Marlins game, test out unreleased tracks, and end up at Space for far too long than we intended. Miami’s energy is unreal. I’d want them to feel every beat of it.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve got to shout out my family first—they’re the reason I even got into music. Growing up drumming in our family band taught me discipline, rhythm, and what it means to collaborate. That foundation has carried me through everything I’ve done creatively.
I also want to give love to the friends who believed in me early on, came to shows when there were five people in the crowd, and kept reminding me why I started. And lastly, shoutout to the DJs and producers in the underground scene who’ve inspired me with their sound and work ethic—there’s a whole community that pushes each other to grow, and I’m grateful to be part of it.
