Meet Paul Gee | Artist, Actor, Producer, Writer, Live/On-Camera Host, and Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Gee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
My definition of success has changed in the past 2 years. After the last two craziest, most exciting, most successful years of my life, it may sound corny to some, but to me, peace of mind, love of self, and constant growth is true success. Success is not an endpoint. So to some, constant growth might sound incomplete. But I feel that truly successful people have those three things (peace of mind, love of self, and constant growth) as a top priority because it keeps returning them to that feeling. I’ve made a cool amount of money doing what I love, but if I don’t love myself, accept what life brings and make the best of it, and look to keep getting better in all areas of life, how can I truly get the feeling I want? Rest is a temporary state you’re in but can also be considered a final state. Success is also temporary and that definition is subjective as well. It all depends on your outlook. But Since I’m alive and constantly evolving, if I don’t hold those three factors high in life, I can’t really reach success over and over again. I think Success is a feeling primarily. No matter how successful you become, if you do not have peace at the end of the day, happiness, and the motive to keep going, Are you really successful? Peace of mind, Love of self, and Constant growth have saved me from anxiety, depression, and killing my own dreams.
Since I’m still chasing those things, still hungry, and growing, I see those things as “success” for me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If one of my best friends were in for the weekend, (I’m assuming this is the Summer, we got the right budget, and we can teleport haha), We’d get breakfast at Peaches to start off the day, definitely day drink. After peaches we go to domino park to continue the vibes and day drink more, maybe snack on the tacos. after that go to a day party on a rooftop or a backyard. Then we’d grab a quick dinner at BlockHeads (more drinks, preferably frozen Margaritas) then chill for a bit at a nearby park or something. After chilling we head to a night party with a lot of people I know, great DJ, I perform a quick set, the party gets lit, then after hit the pizza spot for post-party munchies. Then head to a kickback with some folks, chill, more music, deserts of some sort (haha) then we teleport home to a comfy setup. The next day is a long island road trip for a pool party bbq or something. Pure lit energy. Then the next day we kick it inside, breakfast, video games, wine, and whatever we want lol a quick weekend itinerary, feel free to take it lol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Talking to God daily allowed me to come to the understanding of success that I’m at. He showed me different things about myself, introduced me to certain people, and guides me through my daily actions. He is the reason for all of my success. So I constantly access him for help and guidance. He’s the source of all my legit oppurtunities. I have to always give credit and respect where it is due. No matter what level or the number of things I’ve done, A constant goal of mine is to give honor and respect to people who have helped or inspired me along the way. Whether it’s God, who inspires, secures, and elevates everything I put my mind to, my inner circle who always has my back, or my girlfriend, who is my day to day support, I make sure they know I’m grateful for them and love them in as many ways as I can. There is no me without God and the people he put in my life. *slow tear* haha jk
