Hi Priscilla, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I view risk as a necessary step toward growth and achievement. Without stepping outside of my comfort zone and challenging the status quo, it’s hard to discover new opportunities or reach one’s full potential.

Growing up, I followed the conventional path—attending college, earning a Bachelor’s and a Masters degree, and securing a stable 9-to-5 job. This norm provided a solid foundation, and I’m grateful for the education and experience I gained. However, deep down, I always felt capable of more and aspired to do something that truly challenged me and allowed me to make a greater impact.

Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day, and it’s up to us how we utilize them. For me, taking risks meant buckling down and making sacrifices in the short term for the potential of long-term rewards. It required a significant amount of courage and determination to step away from a comfortable job and pursue my own ventures. The transition was challenging and filled with uncertainties, but it was a calculated risk that I believed would be worthwhile.

In my journey, risk taking has played a crucial role in defining who I am and what I have achieved. It has opened doors to opportunities I never would have encountered had I played it safe. Each risk I took was a learning experience that contributed to my growth, both personally and professionally.

I am deeply grateful for every opportunity that has come my way. I believe that these opportunities were not just a matter of chance but the result of the risks I was willing to take. I thank God for guiding me and providing me with the strength and perseverance to keep pushing forward, even when the path seemed uncertain.

Without taking these risks, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The journey has been challenging, but the rewards have been immensely fulfilling. It has taught me that sometimes, the greatest opportunities lie just beyond the edge of our comfort zones.
