What should our readers know about your business?
RP Creative helps entrepreneurs create a visual brand that connects deeply with the people they serve. We’re a team of visual storytellers, designers, and user experience experts who believe in speaking the truth, being vulnerable, and taking creative risks. With 10+ years of experience, we blend high-level strategy, collaboration, and deep love to design who you are online. Recent clients include Laverne Cox, Lori Harder, Jadah Sellner, and Jonathan Fields.

The way I got where I am in my business today is by getting a mentor. In 2012, I reconnected with a friend of mine from art school who was working with Marie Forelo, an amazing entrepreneur in the online space. I was so impressed and inspired by her work that I knew that it was something I wanted to do too! My friend ended up mentoring me to launch my own business. This is one of the absolute best things I ever did at the beginning of my business journey. Her belief and support in me was a game changer.

I don’t want to paint such a perfect picture. For a while, I operated under feast and famine and teetered on the edge of burnout. Setting boundaries in my business was a huge struggle as well. I was finally able to end these cycles by having business coaches and being in masterminds and learning what not to do. I realized that having support and systems help me create more stability in my business.

I want the world to know that creativity matters. Building your brand, sharing your story and creating impact to help others is truly changing the world.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to my husband. He’s been supportive of my journey since day 1 and that meant a lot. Sometimes it only takes one person to believe in you for and I’ve been lucky enough to have many people in my entrepreneurial journey believe in me and it truly made all the difference. From Art teachers at the School of Visual Arts to other creatives I honestly could not thank them all more for the HUGE impact they had on my success.
