We had the good fortune of connecting with Raeann Ellery and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Raeann, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
my family’s love language has always been food. growing up, I watched my dad prepare a table full of dishes whenever his friends / family visited. My parents were the best hosts I know. They were always gracious, giving & warm.
They loved to feed and often over-prepared meals. They were always a ton of left overs! So I watched my dad in the kitchen and learned from him.
I started cooking at a very young age & enjoyed it very much. I got my first oven when I turned 16 and started looking for easy cake recipes on YouTube to follow.
I started bringing my baked goods to school and sharing them with my friends, baking for family occasions and i fell in love with it.
I found joy in creating and feeding others.
I believe that you can taste the heart and effort in the food that we eat. Food tastes better when you make it with love and when you share it with the people you love. It’s something so simple yet so, precious.
I love it when we have get togethers around the table & have conversations over food. I treasure those moments & I wanted to do that for others too. To serve delicious, authentic, homemade food for others to enjoy with their loved ones.
Even if it just impacts one person, thats more than enough for me.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
my creations are a reflection of the things I personally enjoy. I believe that authenticity is key when it comes to creating – loving what you do and finding the beauty in it. My style of baking has evolved over the years, likewise my food preferences too. & my business flows with my current seasons. That’s how I like to keep it authentic I guess! To share with others what I truly love, even though it changes from time to time.
Running a business is definitely challenging and isn’t for everyone. There were many times that I wanted to call it quits because it got too exhausting, but I’m glad that I didn’t, if not RBV wouldn’t have made it this far today. There were many times I questioned the Lord’s purpose and calling for me too. Am I on the right path? Is this what I am supposed to be doing? How do I know that it’s for me?
Looking back and all those times I questioned, I’d say that there’s absolutely nothing like the Lord’s peace. You’ll just know it. & when I know that it’s His peace, I know that his grace will be sufficient for my journey & it doesn’t matter if it gets tough, I know that he’ll take care of me.
I’ve learned that Noise is gonna come with growth. Some people are not gonna like what you do, how you do it, how you are as a person. People will always find something to say about you, regardless of how nice / kind / sincere / genuine of a person you are.
But don’t ever let it bring you down. I believe that as long as you run the business with truth and honesty, give your best, then let the Lord handle the rest. Choose your battles!
Guard your peace, know your worth
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m so grateful to the Lord, my family, friends and supporters of the brand for carrying me through the years.
I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the Lord and his grace & favour. I see his footprints everywhere on my journey. My family & friends for being my shoulder to lean on & being my pillar of support. For believing in me and encouraging me.
& to my RBV community, thank you for appreciate what I do & giving me the space to share that with you. I’m so grateful
