We had the good fortune of connecting with Rare Phantom and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rare, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Pursuing an artistic career is an incredible outlet to release pent up energy and emotions. Being creative is one of the most fulfilling things in life when it comes to past times that require putting time and energy into. Art is a way for me to spread my vision, and an infectious way to spread something positive. I want to help inspire others to be creative and follow where their creativity takes them, if it’s music, painting, any type of creative venture.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music was something I always gravitated towards, all ages and stages of my life. Music was something I could universally enjoy with my friends and family, and helped motivate me to stay positive in the more tougher times of my life, growing up. To pay my respects to the art. I decided to give back to the musical world and create my own art as a token of my appreciation, for everything music has done for me. I hope my music can help others the same way it has helped me in my life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a boston native that has recently moved to Florida, I would suggest bringing whoever I’m with to the beach of course. After hours, the kava bars in my local area have always been a relaxing, positive environment for me to spend my time after a long work day. If it’s not the kava bar or the beach, of course I would encourage who I’m with to join me in the studio, to help provide me energy to put into my craft. Not only do others around me inspire me when being creative, but I enjoy giving a performance for them to enjoy aswell.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shout to to my manager James, my mother, father and brother. Without any of them, I wouldn’t have the proper guidance to be as well put together as I am, all of them keep me grounded.
