We had the good fortune of connecting with Rawji and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rawji, how do you think about risk?
Risks are inevitable. There are ways to mitigate the possibilities of risk but avoiding risk completely never blossoms the inner growth that allows your goals to be captured. Many roles have been played in in my life / career that led to achieving quite a few accomplishments. Taking risk involves scarifcing nights with minimal sleep, taking the opportunities to do something out of the norm to achieve something I’ve never accomplished before, or maybe not having the complete confidence, but knowing a better outcome can be acquired. Comfort zones may provide a sense of security that can limit personal growth and opportunities. Without risk, one can never know how much more to life there is to be explored. While for some, risk is taking a leap of faith and for others risk are challenges that awaits. It’s important to also asses risk carefully and weigh potential outcomes and prepare for setbacks if any.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
When it comes to my artistry, being authentic about the narratives I convey is what sets me apart from everyday competitors. Some listeners can relate or at least have a sense of understanding when they intake and listen to the tunes, melodies, or songs I present. I’m most excited about the body of work I’ve been able to accomplish within a particular time frame but I still have much more ahead of me. Being dedicated, pushing forward, and staying consistent creatively helped me reach my destination to where I stand today, professionally. There is no easy path to greatness. Constant challenges comes with creating or possible writers block. I overcome these challenges by living life, exploring new adventures, experiencing new travels, meditating, connecting with my inner-self and keeping positive vibrations within my circle. These activities allow a greater thought process when creating and that inspires me even more. The lessons I admire along the way are the ones about the business side of the industry. Understanding the business and having your paperwork in order goes a long way in claiming what is rightful considered ownership of your artwork. What I would like to present to the world is “I’m no different from you, I just didn’t quit when my challenges were presented.” My brand and my story is my bond and I seek to stay authentic.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So my best friend is coming into town where would we start….
Monday: iFLY indoor skydiving, will get some adrenaline pumping.
Tuesday: Basement Bowl and Skate with drinks included.
Wednesday: You can never go wrong with drinks and karaoke.
Thursday: Catch a Miami Heat game at the Kaseya Center for sure.
Friday: Dine at Truluck’s Seafood or Flemings Prime Steakhouse.
Sat- Sun: Nobu Hotel Miami Beach resort to enjoy the beach vibes and surrounding activities.
Miami has many light life and eventful activities daily. Depending on your crowd, there’s always something to get into and explore. The most fun start with a good vibe of music. Usually those spots are where you can meet interesting people with good positive energy.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a heartfelt shoutout to Ebony, my partner, who encourages and uplifts the tough and highlighted moments in my life and keep me on the positive path. The importance of having a strong support system goes a long way and I am thankful for her, my family members, and close group of friends that support my journey to success.
