Meet Rebecca Mansueto | Professional dancer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Mansueto and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebecca, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I’ve learnt is that life is always full circle including your career. To elaborate, the connections that you build over time if nurtured well can offer you opportunities in the future that you didn’t foresee.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe what sets me apart from others is my determination and courage to push my own boundaries and perform roles that involve skills I’ve never exercised before. X Rocks Las Vegas includes a track with many dance numbers as well as a Lyra routine that I trained vigorously for. Similarly I performed the routine “Skin” in the After Dark Show at the Mayfair Las Vegas, a dance solo that involves the straps apparatus and hanging from the ceiling. Getting to where I am today was not as easy feat and involved sacrifices as well as physical and mental struggles, anything great is never easy. I’ve been building my professional dance career and credits for 15 years and what I’ve learnt recently is you can strive for perfection but it’s not about being perfect, it’s about being entertaining and putting on a show!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well first of all I’d get them a ticket to a show I’m performing in both X Rocks and After Dark at the Mayfair. I’d then take them to the Lone Mountain Trail Head followed by the famous Fremont street in Downtown Las Vegas. On another day we’d grab a woodfire pizza at my favorite pizza spot Settebello!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
All the companies I currently work for in Vegas and Miami have been pivotal in my career and success. Each and every single one has allowed me the space to build on skills and grow in ways I never thought imaginable. These skills include performing roles in their shows not only as a dancer but an aerialist also. These companies include Stabile Productions, No Ceilings Entertainment, Drais Las Vegas, A Touch of Burlesque and Melissa Vargo Productions. Also, a big shout out to Royal Caribbean Entertainment for casting me in the role of a lifetime – Cha Cha Digregorio in Grease, she remains dear to me and I will forever reminisce performing that role!
