We had the good fortune of connecting with Rebecca Peri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rebecca, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
My journey into the artistic and creative realm was less about a single moment of decision and more about a gradual realization of where my true passions lay. From a young age, I was fascinated by the world of fashion and visual storytelling. There was something about the way a piece of content or a moment on the runway could convey so much emotion, tell a story, or even inspire change. This early interest laid the groundwork for my future path.

The passion for creativity and self-expression has always been at my core. I found myself constantly drawn to the arts, not just as a spectator but as an active participant. Whether it was through experimenting with different styles, capturing moments that spoke to me, or even just playing with the narrative capabilities of digital platforms, I realized that this was where I felt most at home. It was the stories of iconic models and groundbreaking content creators that truly inspired me, showing me the impact that could be made through creative expression.

The transition from passion to profession wasn’t overnight. It came with a lot of hard work, self-discovery, and a bit of serendipity. The defining moment for me was realizing the unique perspective I could bring to the table, combining my love for fitness, runway grace, and the authentic storytelling of UGC. This blend of interests allowed me to carve out a niche where I could genuinely connect with and inspire my audience.

What truly drives me in this career is the never-ending journey of learning and growth. The creative field is dynamic, constantly evolving with new trends, technologies, and narratives. Staying engaged, adapting to these changes, and continuously pushing the boundaries of my own creativity is both a challenge and a thrill.

Ultimately, the decision to pursue an artistic and creative career was about fulfillment. There’s an unparalleled joy in creating something that resonates with others, in being part of a community that values expression and innovation. Every project, every shoot, every piece of content is an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to connect. And it’s this continuous cycle of inspiration and impact that motivates me every day.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a fusion of dynamic fitness energy and the expressive storytelling of high fashion and UGC content. What sets me apart is my ability to blend these worlds seamlessly, creating content that’s not only visually captivating but also rich in narrative and authenticity.

I’m particularly proud of a recent campaign where I combined my fitness journey with fashion storytelling, breaking stereotypes and inspiring others to find beauty in strength. This project was a testament to my belief that art and self-expression should have no boundaries.

Getting to where I am today was far from easy. The road was paved with challenges, from navigating the complexities of the content creation industry to maintaining my authenticity in a world that often values trends over individuality. Overcoming these obstacles involved a constant cycle of learning, adapting, and staying true to my vision.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is the importance of resilience. In a field as dynamic and competitive as this, the ability to bounce back and keep pushing forward is invaluable. Another key takeaway is the power of community—building relationships with fellow creators, mentors, and my audience has been foundational to my growth.

I want the world to know that my brand is more than just aesthetics; it’s about inspiring empowerment, breaking norms, and creating content that resonates on a deeper level. My journey is a testament to the fact that with passion, resilience, and a supportive community, it’s possible to carve out a space that’s uniquely your own in the creative industry.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely, there’s a significant acknowledgment I’d like to make, and it’s to Centenary University in New Jersey. This institution was more than just a place of learning for me; it was a cornerstone in my development both professionally and personally. Earning my Bachelor of Social Work and MBA in Business Management from Centenary is a milestone I hold in high regard. It wasn’t just about the degrees, but the journey to attain them that truly shaped me.

Being the first in my family to achieve this level of education, the journey was filled with its own set of challenges and triumphs. What made this possible, beyond my own determination, was the incredible support system I found within the university. The advisors, professors, and even peers at Centenary provided not just academic guidance but life lessons that have been instrumental in my growth.

The education I received went beyond textbooks; it was about real-world application, critical thinking, and nurturing a mindset geared towards problem-solving and innovation. These are the very skills that have empowered me as an independent entrepreneur, allowing me to navigate the complexities of the creative industry with confidence.

So, my shoutout goes to Centenary University and all the remarkable individuals there who believed in me and supported my aspirations. It’s a testament to how a supportive educational environment can truly set the foundation for success in life’s endeavors.
