We had the good fortune of connecting with Reginald Benoit and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reginald, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I am a former on-air personality and DJ for X102.3 and Beatz96.3 I’ve done radio for over 15 years and once you start you can’t stop so when my time was over at those 2 stations i felt like i had more in the tank to offer so that’s how Tru Radio was born!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Djing is a true passion for me doesn’t matter the crowd size i’m ready to rock it. My older brothers influenced me into become a DJ and then later on in life i caught the radio bug thru doing underground radio which was a great experience and time in my life. Many times things got ruff for me but staying positive and putting God first helped me get thru things. My radio station Tru Radio is amazing we have a great group of Djs and personalities that make the station what it is today. I just want Tru Radio to serve the community with the music the information and help that it needs that’s what radio is suppose to do.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
well we would definitely hit the beach get some dope food from McCrays BBQ in West Palm Beach and then just go vibe at my favorite spot Bamboo Room in Lake Worth.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely want to shout out my brothers Ronnie, Mario, and Pat they always push me to be great and support me heavy. I also wanna shout my mentor JC and friends Juice & DJ Dundada who have been there with me from day one i definitely appreciate their support.
