We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricardo Esteves and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ricardo, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I attribute my success to a number of factors including but not limited to; incredible support – family, friends, mentors, and colleagues – , work ethic, relentless pursuit of my goals, commitment to see things through – regardless of the challenges faced along the way, and many others. However, I believe the most important factor to be my discipline and consistency. I often revert back to a quote that perfectly depicts the importance of discipline and commitment. “Dreams without goals, are just dreams and ultimately fuel disappointment. On the road to success, you must apply discipline, but more importantly consistency. Because without discipline you will never start, but without consistency you will never finish”
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We lead formidable team of commercial real estate investment and advisory experts who specialize in brokering net leased and retail assets throughout the United States.
As a highly motivated professional with well-honed experience and a proven track record, I’ve had the privilege of establishing a reputable list of clients which include some of the nation’s largest institutional real estate companies, private and publicly traded REITs, private equity funds, and high net-worth individuals. I’ve had the luxury of working on a multitude of transactions and personally negotiated the sale of 350+ assets totaling $791 million in sales. Collectively, our group has sold 1,100+ assets totaling $5+ billion.
Through my hard work and sheer grit, I’ve been able to achieve numerous recognitions, awards, and accomplishments all which I am extremely proud of. Most recently I was awarded with Connect CRE’s ‘Next Generation Award’ which is given to a handful of individuals who’ve become influential in the Commercial Real Estate space and likely to have a long-term impact in the industry. Additionally, I’ve been awarded with the ‘Prospector of the Year’ award, the coveted ‘Rookie of the Year’, and the “National Achievement Award” given to producing agents within our firm.
My work ethic has always been the catalyst in helping me achieve my goals. If there is anything I’d want the “world” to know about my success, it’s that 1) it’s never come easy, 2) it always required sacrifice, and 3) it is absolutely worthwhile. If you have a dream, goal, or vision set out a plan for yourself to achieve it… and stop at nothing, until you do!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think is very important to unwind, let lose, and have some fun. Personally, I believe I’m in the best city in the world for this; Miami! Whether is boating – fishing, diving, or partying at the sandbar -, beach, restaurants, lounges, clubs, shopping, site seeing, or going to events, Miami always has something to offer.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The list is quite long for me, however, I will always have to start with my parents. They’ve provided absolutely everything I could want and need while also teaching me the tough yet invaluable lessons required to navigate life’s and business’s tough challenges. I also have to shoutout my business partners, Ronnie Issenberg and Gabriel Britti. They have both been instrumental in my career path and together we’ve been able to accomplish a lot, but more importantly, still have a lot more to achieve together. I would also mentors and leaders that I’ve had through different stages of my life, such as Dan Garrett, Dave Chang, Malcolm Browne, and Ryan Nee. As mentioned though, the list is long for me. There are a lot of people that can partake in the success I’ve been able to achieve.
