We had the good fortune of connecting with Riccardo Conte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Riccardo, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Drinking a glass of good wine at end of the day.

There are many things one has to take care of as an entrepreneur and sometimes the responsibility can be overwhelming. One regular day may have an unending list of things that require your attention. So, nothing better than ending your day knowing you gave your best while enjoying a good glass of wine as your reward.

What should our readers know about your business?
I think that Virtus Flow, my last adventure, it’s what describes me the most. We help businesses around the world to work better by streamlining business processes. The goal here is to automate repetitive and tedious activities saving up to 80% of the time, and the best part? You don’ need to be a developer. Everything is no code! Why I love it? Because everyone loves it and it’s a game changer, this is what every business needs now!

Just today a customer (and friend) sent me a quote from Neil Gaiman – A wish to make mistakes because is when you make mistakes that you learn new things and you have a chance to do something that you never done before.
In my case I can say that the beginning of my career was particularly turbulent, I would have never expected to become an entrepreneur, I never chose that. And most of my achievements come from mistakes. Wrong decisions, wrong partners, wrong ideas. I just recently understood that I give my best when I have a challenge, better than when everything works fine. If I can distill two points: 1. Never look for a partner if you don’t really need one (investors included), never consider wealth as a sign of your success, stay away from people that introduce themself as: “I had/have a 7 figure business”. Stay humble, stay hungry.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love this question: Wynwood is always my first choice! It’s the most vibrant place of Miami, the real melting pot of “cultural revolution”. If I’m looking for inspiration I start my tour from Panther Coffee (you always need to start from a coffee shop) and I continue with the Wynwood Walls. A place that I literally love is Walt Grace Vintage (best arabica espresso). If you are there for business stop by The Lab, the first Co-Working space that opened here in Wynwood.

And when the sun goes down you cannot miss the nightlife. There are so many options that sometimes is difficult to decide.
Besides Wynwood I’m a huge fan of Key Biscayne beach. For me, as European, this is the perfect beach to relax, I guess is the colors what I like the most. These beautiful palm trees and the long beach walkaway, is like being in paradise. Yes, the water is not the best, for that I go to Naples, but the beach is really “tropical”.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife first, she was the one supporting me when I started my business, Being an entrepreneur is a family matter. You have different schedules, way of managing your time, public events and, worst, hard time to disconnect. Having someone that understands that is crucial. I also want to recognize a couple of organizations that supported me, one is YEC a group of young entrepreneur with a unique common goal: help each other. This is something that you read about everywhere, maybe the statement of every nonprofit, but with YEC is real.
Last mention is my father, that is also my best colleague. He’s literally a genius (although he would never admit it) and he’s a furnace of ideas. He’s so passionate about his job that is impossible not to feel something for what you’re doing.
