We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricci Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ricci, how do you think about risk?

Looking back, I’ve always taken risks and I’m proud of myself and little Ricci for that.

I left home in high school to attend a boarding school in a different state because it sounded exciting and felt like the best option for me at the time. And that experience ended up changing my life and shaping who I am today.

Then in 2020 I left my corporate HR job right before covid and moved cities for the chance to discover myself and what I want from my life and career more deeply.

And since then I’ve made multiple decisions for my career and business that can be viewed as risky and even irresponsible all in the name of making the best choices I can in pursuit of the vision God has given me.

Ultimately, risk is necessary and unavoidable when you’re pursuing a dream or a vision. You have to get uncomfortable, and you have to take leaps of faith.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Watching Women Win is a company that helps women step Confidently into their Calling through Coaching, Community and Connections.

We literally LOVE to see women win! To have big dreams, believe they’re possible, trust that they’re called and then take actions towards achieving those dreams.

We know that without confidence, it’s impossible to fulfill all that you’ve been called to do. And we strive to help women see the truth and the fullness of who they’ve been created to be.

I’m most proud of the fact that I haven’t given up yet. This journey, like everyone’s, has not been easy. And even now people still try to convince me to take a different path. A more financially stable path. But I am confident that this is what I’m supposed to do. And that the impact of what we’re building will radiate out to women and girls who aren’t even alive yet. I’m exited to see what God will do next, and where we go from here.

The lessons I’ve learned on not only this journey of entrepreneurship but the journey of stepping into my calling is that everything will always work out. When you follow God and put your life AND business AND relationships AND career in His hands, He will never let you down.

I’ve also learned, and am still learning that you have to work hard. You don’t have to be a workaholic, but you can’t be idle. You have to create structures and routines and goals that will allow you to manage the little bit of time you have to accomplish the big things you’ve been called to do.

What I want the world to know about Watching Women Win is that we don’t have the power, you do. We are not the source of your success, God is. We are here to serve you. To support you. To create and hold spaces for you to discover your confidence and fulfill your calling. We want to see you win! And we believe wholeheartedly that you can.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Oh man, I am not the person to ask this question to!

I’m from Orlando but have been down south for 3 years, and in those 3 years I have not explored nearly as much as I would like.

If my friend came for a week we’d spend our mornings at the gym or working out at a park by the water, and taking our sweet time in the morning getting ready for the day.

We’d definitely do some water activities like the venetian pool in Coral Gables, find some cool networking events to connect with other entrepreneurs, and we’d definitely be scrolling through @peakacity on IG to find things to do.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I have to shoutout my grandparents. They have always loved and supported me without question. Through suspensions in school, to quitting jobs without back up plans, they’ve always expressed how proud of me they are and that they believe in me and in the vision.

But also, God has used so many people to encourage me irl and in the DM’s at times when I’ve felt low and discouraged. People who I’m close to and people who I don’t know. And I believe each of those people have played a pivotal role in keeping me on this path.
