We had the good fortune of connecting with Rich Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rich, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
There really wasn’t much of a thought process behind starting my own business; it is something I consider as second nature being able to cultivate something from nothing is always exciting.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a professional photographer and videographer which led me to running a production company. How it works for us is we have skilled Independent Contractors the we send out based off their specialty by category whether it’s music videos, corporate, events, portraits, etc. We want to pride ourselves on being a full production company and we can cover everything.
It wasn’t easy building up until this point but we have worked hard and prided ourselves on quality and reliability.
Some lessons along the way were to really just build the foundation properly around certain core members of our team then being able to branch out to other states and even countries after that.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
AfroCode is definitely one of the go to spots, every Saturday at Brick in Wynwood currently. It’s an Afro Beats Day Party and always lots of fun and energy.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to @tonyvisions one of the first people to really put belief in us and help us get to the next level.
