We had the good fortune of connecting with Rick Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rick, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I have a very deep, strong desire to always succeed, no matter what it takes with integrity. I have been a personal trainer and have competed in this business for 12 years now. The personal training business is very popular and I have been able to seperate myself from the rest.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been an independent personal trainer for 12 years now. I believe my education and level of detail sets me apart from others. Besides holding several college degrees, I went to the national personal training institute where I graduated at the top of my class with a 4.0 grade point average.

I’m proud of the passion and enthusiasm that I pass along when I teach fitness to my clients. My level of attention to detail with written programs and assisting my clients achieve their goals. I set up a detailed road map with my program design and that is how I am able to help my clients exceed their fitness goals and increase strength. Without a daily written plan, you’re just getting to work out. I train my clients to ultimately succeed and build strength.

This business can be very cutthroat and competitive, however not only understanding how to get someone to their goal without jeopardizing their long term health, but also understanding how the body works and building strong relationships with my clients.

I am extremely proud of the company I have built with integrity and passion. I hope executives optimizer performance by increasing energy, sharpening focus and managing stress through customize fitness program design.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For the best time ever, we’d have to go to do not sit on the furniture in South Beach. In my opinion, it’s the best club in all of Miami. It’s a very small, intimate setting. The sound system is top notch and they host the best DJs for deep house music.

For the best Cuban sandwich in all of Miami, I would say it would have to be Sanguich. We would definitely need to eat there.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shout out would be to my personal training instructor, Tim Henriques, who taught me personal training, turned into my powerlifting coach and more importantly, became a really good friend of mine. He taught me the art of personal training and powerlifting. With every day and every client, I use the knowledge that was passed down to me to best serve my clients.
