We had the good fortune of connecting with Robert Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Robert, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The one thing about the alternative medicine industry that most outsiders are probably not aware of it is a fact based and evidence based practice of modalities and systems. These practices mostly find their origins being thousands of years old, predate modern medicine and can be proven with science today. A lot of my studies reviewing the various fields of complementary and alternative medicine indicate it is just as effective and in some cases more effective in supporting an individuals general health and wellness. For example in herbal and botanical medicines there are hundreds of double blind placebo trials that are conducted to validate the efficacy of the said properties of that plant and how it may interact in the human body. Surprisingly medicinal mushrooms are one of those botanicals which happens to support patients recovery faster from the cons of chemotherapy and radiation therapy in cancer treatments.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Here in Boynton Beach the possibilities are endless for those on vacation or looking to improve a better quality of life lifestyle. I find some of my favorite spots in the city are also other small businesses. My number one juice bar is Willy Cafe, truly a good group of people using quality and organic local fruits and veggies to provide some of the best natural juice and smoothie options. Additionally Juice berry Cafe also has some nice juice blends and vegetarian options. After going out in the midday for juice or smoothies how can you not hit the beach! Now I do love the Boynton Beach Oceanfront park I find myself at the Boynton Beach inlet park with my children enjoying a nice seaside breeze under the coconut palms. There is also a really nice hammock close by for taking great pictures and getting out in nature. A really good place to visit in Boynton Beach if you are a mango lover is the Zill’s Mango Grove “Walter and Verna” own one of the original groves still in Boynton going back to the 1950s. I’m actually walking distance from the location and they have rich organic sweet mangoes that taste like pineapple, coconut cream, and peach cobbler. Additionally I like to hang out in nature lets face it this is what sometimes healing is all about grounding and connecting in nature. The Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge is a wetlands in the west of Boynton Beach that is truly home to some exotic animals. People can bird watch and see gators, I have found many medicinal mushrooms growing out in that refuge which is apart of the Everglades. I also like to hang out downtown whenever there is a fest going on in the fall season like pirate fest, you will meet so many amazing people from around the world and have good senses of humor! There are also many options to eat vegan and clean like Joeys Bakery which has vegan and gluten free homemade baked goods.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout my doctors, and professors who have encouraged me to become a doctor one day. From the very first day of my studies the staff always called me “Dr. Diaz” as they realized the full potentials, compassion, and desires that I may have to help people.
