Meet Rochelda Sicar | Luxury Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rochelda Sicar and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rochelda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Starting my own business from scratch, creating remarkable ideas and watching it grow overtime, providing value and quality work to many people around the world. My thought process is more so helping many solve their issues. Understanding, do I carry the required skills to solve everyone’s problems? And if I do have those skills, I will continue to use those skills to help many people who are in need and if I don’t have those required skills, I will find a way to obtain them in order to continue being successful in my career path.

Research has been a number one go to. It is required to educate and to continue building my businesses. And also, not losing the eye sight of the end picture of my company and really driving that vision and mission to life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I would say specialization because that’s what makes my business set apart from other competitors. For instance specialization comes with a variety word series that’ll help you understand the importance of this word specialization. Specializing in products, services, clientele’s, has been the biggest in my company because it allows my company to be the best and to deliver innovative products and services to our clients. I am a Luxury event planner/coordinator/ wedding stylist guru. I am a serial entrepreneur who has founded multiple businesses consecutively.

What also makes my business set apart. My husband and I had a major opportunity to decorate for a celebrity event for the very first time. This was held about 2 weeks ago on May 5, 2023. My husband and I were absolutely inspired, because this has given us a major exposure for our business.  Friends and family were inboxing, calling us to encourage us to keep going, telling us to keep up the good work, that they are so proud of us. This is an absolute opportunity to add to our resume: a celebrity event stylist. We look forward to “MAJOR” opportunities such as this for the near future.

I had to make some wise choices that would lead me into a successful future. Success will often come and pass me by but it’s always been the integrity that would last forever. I’ve got to where I am today, business-wise by not only studying business owners that I look up to, but also taking advice from business advisors. Believing in myself that I am capable to do and be anything in life that will get me to accomplish many goals in life. It’s not an easy journey for me personally, being that I am a wife and a mother of 4 and a full time student in college and I still manage a successful business. I’ve had to overcome many obstacles and challenges over some course of time, in my business, such as communicating my short- and long-term objectives, I had to rethink my marketing strategies, and I had to prioritize where to invest.

The lessons I’ve learned are building a culture, not a company, It’s all about healthy relationships. I’ve accepted failure as part of the journey, to never stop creating, create something of value and dream big. Those are some lessons that I’ve learned along the way.

What I want the world to know is that entering the business avenue can be very challenging, but don’t allow that to stop you from achieving your goals. You have what it takes to have a successful future and continue to stay dedicated and passionate in what you do. Don’t allow what you’re going through now to dictate your future. Write the vision down and make it plain for your business. I have been in the event industry for over 9 years. The events industry has grown enormously in the past year statistically based on research. Understand which industry you’re getting into, constant research educating yourself more on that field that you’re going for.

I am evolving and I’m always reevaluating every path I am taking. I’m always assessing and redefining what happiness means to me and what goal(s) I’m working towards that should be accomplished both short term and long term. I always try to maintain a 5-10 year vision for my life and business. Gain the experience and knowledge I need to go to the next level in my career. I’ve always dreamed of being self-employed. having my own schedule that works best for me and my family. I know exactly what I want and that’s to be self-employed one day. To be my own boss. This can happen for you if you only believe and take the leap of faith in your journey today. I love to be an entrepreneur such an inspiration to others that would love to join me in what I do. The absolute uniqueness in my creativity, constantly working on my craft which makes me authentic and valued to many. I’ve found my own niche through being a luxury event planner, I love what I do. I love using my hands to create a whole event. Making lasting memories for friends and family to enjoy and to remember. I’ve received several certifications for a wedding stylist/event wedding coordinator. I have a registered business on sun-biz, I take my business very seriously. Handle all clients with care and dignity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
Check in to your hotel in the area of Kuta or Seminyak, which are popular areas with plenty of dining and shopping options.
Relax on the beach or by the pool and recover from the travel.

Day 2: Explore Ubud

Take a day trip to Ubud, known for its beautiful rice paddies, cultural attractions, and art scene.
Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces, which offer stunning views of the rice fields.
Stop by the Ubud Monkey Forest, a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex inhabited by playful macaques.
Browse the art galleries and markets in the town center.

Day 3: Island Tour

Book a full-day tour to explore Bali’s natural beauty and cultural sites.
Visit Tanah Lot Temple, perched on a rock formation in the sea and offers stunning sunset views.
Stop by the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, which are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Visit the Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, a beautiful Hindu water temple set on a lake.
Day 4: Water Sports

Spend the day exploring Bali’s beautiful beaches and participating in water sports.
Head to Nusa Penida Island for snorkeling or diving in the clear waters.
You can also choose to go surfing in Kuta Beach, one of Bali’s most famous surf spots or take a parasailing or jet ski ride in Tanjung Benoa.

Day 5: Visit Uluwatu

Visit the Uluwatu Temple, a beautiful Hindu temple set on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
Watch a traditional Balinese Kecak dance performance at the temple.
Explore the beaches and coastline around Uluwatu, which offer some of Bali’s most spectacular views.

Day 6: Spa and Relaxation

Take a day to unwind and relax at one of Bali’s many world-class spas.
Book a massage or treatment, or simply relax by the pool or on the beach.
Enjoy the local cuisine at one of Bali’s many restaurants.

The credit goes to my husband no doubt about it. He’s been the one motivating me and supporting everything I do. He helps meet deadlines, ensuring I have all materials to complete the projects that I have. Most importantly all the heavy workloads he’s been able to get them from point A to point B. I really appreciate his hard work in our businesses together, without him I don’t think this would ever be possible for him and I today. I do believe he deserves this shout recognition, not because he’s my husband but because he’s shown me what team work really means, how dedication truly looks like. To continue pursuing our goals in what we’re doing together. And I am truly grateful to have him by my side through it all. I am saying thank you to my husband for your love and support and that we will continue our successful journey and make history and we will tell a lot of people around the world how we did it!
