Meet Rodolfo Rocha Da Silva | CEO of Bravus Group Corp

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rodolfo Rocha Da Silva and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rodolfo, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for my business was born out of my passion for technical work and my experience in rope access. I completed my first rope access certification back in 2004, i.e., 20 years ago.

And after a couple of years working in the field, I realized there was a gap in high-quality training and services in this industry. So, in 2006, I took the leap and started my own company, focusing on providing rope access services in Brazil. By 2010, I opened the International Training Center (ITC) to provide specialized rope access certification for technicians in the region.

When I moved to the U.S. in 2019, I saw a similar opportunity to bring this expertise to a new market. So, in 2021, I launched Bravus Group Corp, a company specialized in painting, caulking, window cleaning, rigging, waterproofing, glass replacement, glass polishing, hot work at heights.

Just recently, in 2023, we expanded with the opening of Bravus Academy, our rope access and training center close to the Hard Rock Guitar & Casino. The journey has been about consistently raising the bar in safety, training, and technical services, and I’m excited to continue growing in this space.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Bravus Group, we specialize in providing high-quality IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) solutions through rope access, drones, and robotics in Urban Assets. What sets us apart is our commitment to safety, innovation, and delivering top-tier service to our clients.

We also take great pride in our Bravus Academy, where we train professionals in these advanced techniques, helping to elevate industry standards.

Getting to where we are today has been a long journey, and it certainly hasn’t been easy. I started in Brazil, where I received my rope access certification in 2004, and by 2006, I launched my first company. I opened the ITC training center in 2010, which gave me a strong foundation in both technical services and training.

When I moved to the U.S. in 2019 and started Bravus Group in 2021, the challenges of entering a new market, building a reputation, and scaling the business were real. But with persistence, a solid network, and the support of my family, we’ve grown quickly.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that resilience and adaptability are crucial. Whether it’s expanding into new technologies like drone and robotic services or building relationships in a new country, being open to change has been key to our success. I needed to change the ambient from oil and gas IRM services to urban assets IRM services, i.e., we changed the market we serve to adapt to South Florida habitat. I

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my journey, I owe a lot to the people who have been by my side along the way. First and foremost, my wife and partner, Larissa, has been a constant source of support and encouragement, helping me through the challenges of building our business, especially when we moved to the U.S. and started from scratch.

I also want to recognize my mentors and colleagues from the early days in Brazil, especially those who trusted in myself. Their guidance and expertise helped shape my path, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without their wisdom and mentorship.

Lastly, I’d like to give a shoutout to the teams I’ve worked with in Bravus Group. Their dedication, hard work, and trust have been crucial to our growth and success. It’s truly been a collective effort, and I’m grateful to everyone who’s been part of this journey.
