We had the good fortune of connecting with Roxana Lynch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Roxana, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
When you are an entrepreneur, having a perfectly balanced professional + personal life is just surreal! There is no way to reach that point, at least at the beginning. And that beginning can easily take years! Especially if you are a mother and have to take care of others besides your own kids. But somehow over time, you find a way to create what balances and works for YOU, and not necessarily has to be equal in terms of distributing the same amount of time to each pillar of your life. Sometimes you lean more towards your personal life and work feels overwhelming. And sometimes you cannot leave your work because you feel so passionate about it, that just with a small time of rest, you know you are fueled to keep going
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the designer and founder of Roxana Lynch, for the Goddess Queen. A brand where self-acceptance, self-expression, and transformation are cherished. I honor and crown women by designing hair adornments to unleash their force and ignite their souls. I create mystical + whimsical pieces that inspire you, evoke memories, and invites you to tell your own story unapologetically. And aiming for that was a brave thing to do! Especially if we are talking about brides, where you can find one of the most classic and conservative markets in terms of look and design! You just have to DARE, and hope for the best! You need to work with intensity and passion, be consistent, laser-focused on your dreams, but that requires a plan, with milestones included! Don’t be afraid to ask for help. That is not a sign of weakness, it actually shows strength. You will need it and believe it or not, people LOVE to help. Remember that together we can always go further. If you want it bad enough, you will succeed! One of my mottos is Never giving up! Be ready to fight all your battles until you ultimately conquer your last victory! And then, start all over again and prepare for your next adventure!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love all happening in Coconut Grove, where I live, and its surroundings. The first stop you have to make is at my Roxana Lynch Showroom , located at Natalia Escabias Luxury Spa (Ig @RoxLynch @NataliaEscabias) on Coral Way. I call it our SPAradise because of all the unexpected visuals, products, and services you can find there! That is the spot to relax, get pampered and re-energize to keep discovering our city!
To keep the vibe during your day after visiting us, the beach is just 15 minutes away and you have MANY options going to Key Biscayne. From just chilling out at Virginia Key to kitesurf on Crandon Beach. Then coming back to The Grove to have a pleasant early dinner, still bayfront, in a Castle! yes! Have you heard about Vizcaya Estate? You can also choose a more urban restaurant like Farinelli or Azafran. Here is a vast range of international restaurants around the area, where the atmosphere is cozy and unique! And to have fun later when the night is still young, I’d visit the galleries and bars located in Coral Gables during Art Walk, where everything is pretty much open until late.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout is for mainly for my family. I couldn’t be doing any of this without them!. Also for my friends and amazing, talented professional artists who have ALWAYS been there, for many sleepless nights, unconditionally to supporting my career, my fails, my doubts, losses, learning, and epic wins!! ✨ You know who you are 😉
