We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Earle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I feel it depends on the personality of a person. Taking a risk can be positive or negative, it’s unpredictable. I truly think that the person might know deep down if something will work out for them. It became second nature since I was a young adult. I started my first business at the age of 21, “Samantha’s invitations”. It didn’t work out as planned but I took a risk. I worked two jobs, internship and attended college. Some people might say, it’s not worth working so hard but it’s positive thinking and staying focused. Things might not happen as quickly but it does eventually. I relocated to Miami from New York. I left a secured career to venture out to new things. I didn’t know what Miami had in mind for me but what I can say, the risk-taking had a husband, a son, and two businesses waiting for me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe in customer service and go the extra mile for the client, regardless if I get a commission or not. Many companies lack customer service speaking from experience. People will remember you because this is what one of the few that separates us from our competitors. For example, when it comes to selling health insurance, I ask some basic questions to assure I am giving a policy that is fitting for them. The last thing I want to do is to sell a policy and my client will not benefit when they need it most. We take the time to educate our clients, people don’t buy things they don’t understand how it works. Some agents fail to understand the basics of sales, people buy you first and then your product. Starting a business is never easy but I must say that things pretty much fell into place once I began the process. We are now in New York, Utah, Georga, and Florida. I am slowly building the brand, I started out with life insurance and now we branched out to health, supplement, medicare, and P&C.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had my best friend visiting Miami, I would take her to places I had a great experience. I love the One Hotel, the ambiance is great. I would highly recommend her to stay there as well. South Beach would be a great place to show her, it has so many options for dining and the party scene is the best. To have someone as a “best friend” is very tricky. Operating a business leaves very little room to do things you would when you have the free time nor have a family. I lost several “friends” through my journey.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My list is a short one…I remember asking my mom for some advice and what she told me has made me who I am today “a hard worker”. In the early 2000s, getting a job was tricky, business wanted a degree and experience. Most college graduates had a degree and no experience. My mom said, if you have the degree and the experience, no employer will turn you down. Boy, was she right! I worked and went to school, I got turned down one time for being overqualified. My dad giving me management ideas, I always ask him what he would do in my shoes. My husband, Chris for always supporting me. It didn’t matter what I wanted to do, I always got the same answer. “If that’s what you want honey, go for it!”
