We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Wallace – Harrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
A close friend of mine, Dr. Amber Williams, opened up a Chiropractic Care practice early last year and needed flyers and digital marketing. As many times as she offered to pay me, I turned it down. I was unaware that so many people turned what I was doing into a business. Last September, sitting with another friend in Real Estate, Laurane Simon, I asked her about her Instagram page and content. She informed me that she pays someone to do it for her, and that person, Sharon Lewis, teaches classes on Social Media Management. From there, my business begin.

What should our readers know about your business?
My name is Samantha Wallace Harrell, owner of Sam Social Solutions, LLC, a Social Media Management and Marketing company. I am also a wife, mother of 3, and a financial advisor with my husband with PFS Primerica.

Sam Social Solutions aim to translate the thoughts of Entrepreneurs & Small Business Owners into Marketing & Design. I’m excited to help individuals achieve a higher success level in business through my creative designs. So many people want to grow their business through the social media platform but are unsure where to start or have the creative gene to execute it.

I’m very proud of myself, growing up in foster care, not finishing college due to having a baby. Yet, here I am, a business owner, not an employee. The odds were stacked against me, but having God and the right people in my life gave me the drive to want more, to want better for my family and me.

I can not take all the credit for where I am right now. WIthout a few amazing people in my life, I don’t know where I would be right now. Joining my husband in business a few years back allowed me to grow my mindset and taught me a few lessons. Understanding that “You’ll get what you put in” and that “it’s ok to fail; as long as you don’t stay down.”

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami for a week, I’ll make sure she get to show her a good time. Many times we can get stuck in just the area we live in, There’s so much to do here in and outside of Miami.

First, I would book us a hotel room at East Miami in Downtown Brickell for a few days. While staying there we’ll visit both restaurants they have there, Quinto La Huela for dinner, and Sugar for a late night vibe and drink. We’ll have a pool day and just lounge around the poolside.

Having a beach day on South Beach would definitely be on the itinerary. Eating a late breakfast or early lunch while we go back and forth from the beach. We’ll take a ride around South beach area on the bikes they have there for rent.

We’ll visit the Doral City Place, Hollywood beach, Schenelby’s Winery, Shots night club, Mayami Mexicantina, and catch a comedy show. I would then take a few days to go down to the Keys with her; where we can do some snorkeling, jetskiing, and visit the the shops and restaurants around the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Yes! First and foremost, I have to give God all the honor and all the glory, without him, I am nothing. My husband, Edward “Tyrone” Harrell Jr., and the 3 ladies I mentioned before, Dr. Amber Williams, Laurane Simon, and Sharon Lewis have been my support team since I started my business. I can’t thank them enough for the support, accountability, and guidance they’ve given me.
