We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandy Glass and Michelle Klahr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandy Glass, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We’ve both been artsy-crafty all of our lives, and we each worked on our own making different types of creations, . We met through mutual friends and instantly became good friends. One day, while having dinner, we began talking and brainstorming about all the ideas we both had in mind, and that’s when we realized that the world was lacking what we like to call “One-Of-A-Kind Gifting Solutions” and that we were meant to work together! So the very next day, we joined forces and began a new chapter in our business lives and that’s how Crafty Brains became what it is today 🙂

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
We put a lot of thought into everything that we make. We like for our gifts to stand out from the rest and to make the recipients feel extra special. For this, we personalize and custom-make many of the items included in our gifts. Our main focus is to have a unique style that identifies us and for people to know that we are the place to go to find One-Of-A-Kind gifts!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitively take them to the beach, and to the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum and we would have lunch at their restaurant. At night we would go to Las Olas Blvd, have dinner there and then take a walk around the area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We love and feel inspired by Oprah and Tony Robbins. We’ve also been to summits, like Create & Cultivate and many online courses. We feel inspired by women entrepreneurs that like to share their experiences so others can learn from their achievements and their mistakes too.
