We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Haber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We wanted to become more financially independent as opposed to working for someone else. (We were both working for other companies before our decision.) And also, we preferred to work directly with clients as well. So in order to make both of those wants happen, we decided to take our expertise and utilize what we learned in previous business courses and start our own video company. We took the time to understand what was needed to start a business and after some time and patience, we began to build Methodical.

What should our readers know about your business?
It was definitely not easy to start our business. From learning about what licenses, equipment, and permits that we’d need, to figuring out what areas we excelled in the best, it ended up taking several months before we decided to launch our company. At first, we offered numerous services between photography and video, before we figured out which clientele we were receiving and what worked best. After five years of being in business, we are now proud to say that we are confident in the areas of service that we offer. Although we have more experience than we did when we first started, we are still growing and learning as a company, as we believe it is key to staying up to date with our clients and industry.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my business partner – Enrique Valentin. He is essentially “the technical brains” of our company!
