We had the good fortune of connecting with Sara Rogers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Behind the success of our brand at Adult Acting Coach, the most important factor is undoubtedly the passion and dedication we bring to teaching the craft/art of acting. Our commitment to creating a nurturing, safe, and secure environment for all our students allows creativity to flourish and confidence to grow.

What sets us apart is our unique approach to teaching, which combines the rigorous discipline of acting techniques with the liberating joy of improvisation. This blend ensures that our students not only learn the craft of acting but also find their own voice and style in a supportive and encouraging setting.

Our success stems from our belief that acting is not just about performing; it’s about connecting — with the audience, the character, and, most importantly, oneself. This belief is at the heart of our teaching, guiding our students to not only achieve their acting goals but to also embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Moreover, our ability to offer classes both in person across South Florida, from Miami to West Palm Beach, and online for students nationwide and abroad, ensures that no matter where you are, you can access high-quality acting instruction.

In essence, our success and the success of our students come from a shared commitment to excellence, creativity, and the transformative power of acting. It’s a journey we are incredibly proud to be a part of, and we invite you to join us, whether you’re stepping onto the stage for the first time or looking to elevate your craft to new heights.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What Sets Us Apart?

At the heart of my coaching philosophy lies the belief that acting is not just about portraying a character on stage or screen; it’s about discovering oneself, unlocking the depth of emotions, and expressing the unspoken. What sets us apart is our holistic approach to acting—melding the technical prowess required for film, theatre, and improvisation with a profound exploration of the self. Our classes are designed as a journey of personal growth as much as they are about professional skill development. This dual focus has not only earned us accolades, such as the awards from Women in the Arts in 2016 and 2018 and a nomination by F.A.N. in 2020, but also the trust and love of our students.

Pride and Excitement

I’m most proud of the transformative impact we’ve had on our students. Witnessing their growth from budding actors into confident individuals who can command the stage or screen with authenticity and emotion is truly exhilarating. The journey to self-discovery that acting enables is something I’m thrilled to facilitate.

The Path to Today

My path to becoming an award-winning acting coach was far from easy. It was paved with challenges, from the initial struggle to establish a name in the competitive field of acting coaching to adapting our methods to the evolving landscape of theater and film. However, perseverance, passion, and the unwavering belief in the transformative power of acting have been my guiding stars. Overcoming these obstacles involved a continuous process of learning, adapting, and most importantly, listening to the needs and aspirations of my students.

Lessons Learned

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of resilience and adaptability. The world of acting is ever-changing, and success lies in one’s ability to evolve with it. Another lesson is the power of authenticity—both in acting and in life. Encouraging actors to bring their true selves to their performances has not only set our coaching apart but has also led to more profound and impactful art.

My Message to the World

I want the world to know that acting coaching is not just about teaching someone to act; it’s about mentoring them to live fully, express freely, and embrace their unique journey. My brand is built on the foundation of passion, dedication, and a deep-seated belief in the potential of every individual to achieve greatness, both on and off the stage. The awards and nominations are not just accolades; they are reminders of the impact we can have when we pursue our passions with heart and perseverance.

Your Invitation

I invite you to join us, whether you’re stepping into acting for the first time or seeking to deepen your craft. Together, let’s embark on a journey of discovery, expression, and achievement. Let’s create not just art, but a story that resonates with your soul. Welcome to a place where you’re not just taught, but celebrated for who you are and who you can become.

This narrative aims to encapsulate not only the essence of my work and philosophy but also to invite you into a world where acting is a gateway to self-discovery and profound expression.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In this journey of mine, a path illuminated by the arts and the countless souls I’ve had the privilege to teach and learn from, there are luminaries whose impact has been profound, guiding me to where I stand today.

It’s with immense gratitude and respect that I dedicate this shoutout to a few remarkable individuals who have been instrumental in my growth, both professionally and personally .

First and foremost, I must honor my Professor, Pat Minnaugh, a woman of extraordinary integrity and talent, who through her guidance, kept me where I belonged, in the Theatre and in the Arts, and fully introduced me to the enchanting world of the stage. Pat taught me not just about the mechanics of acting but about the rhythm and timing of life itself. She instilled in me the importance of self-worth and meticulous preparation, lessons that transcend the stage and permeate every aspect of my being. Pat, we all miss you and your wisdom, however your spirit have been a guiding light in my darkest hours and my brightest days

I also owe a world of gratitude to Leslie Ann Stull, the only family member who has been my steadfast supporter through every high and low. Leslie, your unwavering belief in my work, whether it soared or stumbled, has been a source of comfort and courage. Your support is a testament to the power of family, bound not just by blood but by an unbreakable bond of love and encouragement. I cannot imagine a world without you in it.

Lastly, but certainly not least, I must acknowledge Cheryl Louden-Kubin, now owner of Atlanta Casting Directors, who not only was my first Casting Director to ask me to SLATE, but who also introduced me to the realms of film and television but also nurtured my growth within them. Cheryl, your kindness, sincerity, and genuine love for my development have left an indelible mark on my heart and my career. Your mentorship has been a gift I cherish deeply, and I am forever grateful for the doors you opened and the lessons you shared.
