We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Caicedo and Erica Quince and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah and Erica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Consistency, resilience and continuous learning have been the most impactful qualities in our journey. To have effective communication and adaptability, contribute significantly to personal and professional growth. For those early in their journey, focus on consistency by establishing healthy routines, cultivate resilience with a positive mindset, and embrace continuous learning by having new experiences and acquiring new knowledge. In other words be a sponge and surround yourself with people that you admire and you can learn from and ask the right questions to. We always love to practice effective communication, letting your barriers down to achieve critical thinking. The most important is to remain adaptable, things can change and shift always ends up for the best in our case but don’t fight the inevitable just go with the flow and make the best of every situation.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Theres a lot of successful salons and we try to keep our customer service a priority. We value supporting our employees and their continuing education. This means keeping a constant understanding on current trends and perfecting each skill. We believe in promoting from within producing quality work in turn the best customer service which we are proud of how talented and genuinely loved what they do, that really gives our clients the confidence and comfort when coming to HOM. We are tremendously proud of this.

One of the biggest challenges we face now is growth and how to adapt our growing family. Growth is a great thing and we are extremely proud of our team. We are happy to announce we are now in the works of expanding! More details to come but it’s so exciting to see our hard work and vision coming to fruition! The great thing about having an amazing partner to work with is we motivated each other, stayed focused, stayed organized, kept a positive attitude and pushed each other outside of our comfort zones. When we open another salon, it will be that much easier.

Thank you to our mentors along the way who have helped us grow tremendously. We did most of this on our own but with the help and support of our friends and family.
