We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Stanislaus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, how do you think about risk?
I believe that risk-taking plays a major role in how successful, well-rounded and experienced you become as an individual. Taking risks is important because it allows you figure out what works for you and what does not. After all, how would you know if you do not try? Over the years, I’ve realized that success does not come from staying in your comfort zone. Risk-taking has affected who I am now as a person in many ways. My character, how I think, how I spend my time, what I spend my time on, and other aspects of my life have changed drastically. Risk-taking has opened my eyes and made me realize that I can do anything that I put my mind to. All it took was one leap of faith for me to feel unstoppable and I’ve been going ever since. The urge to become a better me daily has pushed me to take risks for anything that I want to achieve!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I opened my boutique while I was in college because I was unable to work a full-time job at that time. I wanted to focus mainly on school. My first month in business started off smooth but after that I had a hard time staying consistent. It’s hard to stay consistent when you have so many other things you’re doing. I realized that I had to make a decision on whether I wanted to continue doing this or not. I am not a quitter, instead I figured out how best I can work around the issue. As a result, I decided to pace myself while trying to figure out what works for my boutique and what doesn’t. Some lessons that I’ve learned along the way are: If one thing doesn’t work, try something different.; Individuality and creativity is key.; It’s important to know your target audience. Not everyone will like your product, you just have to find the people who do.; It’s ok to take breaks as long as you don’t give up.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my mom for being my role model and biggest supporter in everything I do. Thanks to her I am the intelligent and focused young woman I am today.
