We had the good fortune of connecting with Shadi – Omar Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shadi – Omar, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind me starting my own business was to give back to the community as I’m always willing to help any and everyone to the best of my abilities and also knowing you can put a smile on someone face even if they are a stranger to you
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Habitat cycling is a nonprofit organization that provides help for children who needs help so far I was able to put on a toy drive last December during the pandemic and was also able to do a charity ride January of this year I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish so far with the help of family and friends during these current situations we all have to deal with
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take them to Miami Beach area so they can check out the the beach they have very good restaurants along the strip you can chose from some hang out spots I would include the following lagniappe-house, Monty’s, Berries In the Groves, Wharf Miami
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Habitat cycling all started out with encouragement from a very good friend of mine who has always supported me in any charity events I’m doing, also a big shout out to my cycling group Dutty Rida’s and can’t forget to mention my close brother Albert Savery special thank you to Latoya Edwards, Karla Alvarado and Mickela butler, and my mentor who helps me even from St. Pete Michael Butler a big thank you to also Anthony Jacquette who I can always call upon for help as well but the biggest part of making this all possible is giving thanks and paise to almighty god
