Hi Shani, what do you attribute your success to?

ATTITUDE!!!

At a very young age my parents would remind me that I can Do, Be and Have anything in this world; with Faith, the Spirit of Excellence, dedication, staying consistent and always having a positive ATTITUDE. Today I am those very words. I AM YAYA. YAYA stands for YOU ARE YOUR ATTITUDE. Every day, I CHOOSE to BE, DO and HAVE the day I want; and I choose Excellence. In my 25 plus years in sales, I have risen to the top in sales and have used my platform as a Director of Training and Education and Regional Sales Director within the High-end Luxury Designer Jewelry Brands to inspire others to choose Excellence daily because undoubtedly, they are the CEO of their Life and it’s up to them to create the Life they desire. Companies have seen increases in their business through my many seminars and trainings with their sales professionals. As Life and Desire would bend its positive force towards me; I was invited into the Maritime industry by the President Ami Ira and Managing Broker David Frazer of Blue Oceans Yachting. Fortunately, my years in corporate sales prepared me to successfully transform into owning PLS Global Yacht Services LLC. I am a Licensed and Bonded Sales and Charter company, a partnership with Blue Oceans Yachting. I Immediately fell in love with the world of yachting, it is an extraordinary bespoke luxury experience; the breath-taking exotic destinations, the magnificent mega yachts and sailing yachts and the unparalleled impressive five-star service on board. It is so gratifying to make my clients luxury charter dream vacation anywhere in the world come true and assist my clients in owning the yacht that is befitting of their lifestyle. Every moment is a treasured memory for my clients. My affirmation for 30 plus years has remained the same, I am Determined, I am Fearless, I am Powerful, I am Unstoppable, I am YAYA. It’s Rewarding to know each day I get to choose to do what I do best and that is Produce Results for my Clients and the Life I Desire.

What sets me apart is: I GENUINELY CARE about People!

I am an exceptional leader with exemplary people skills. My motto is simple “I am in the People Business. People do not care how much you know, until you show them how much you care.

I know a lot about Yachts but care more about people and this has set me apart from the status quo. I offer a genuine personalized service. I have a proven track record and continually offer unbiased, insightful, and accurate advice into every aspect of yachting.

Whether my client is considering investing in their first yacht, upgrading to a larger yacht, or building their dream yacht, I put their interests above all else. I’m rewarded when my client’s friends are calling, and that’s the highest compliment a referral.

I believe in paying it forward. In response to the tremendous need and void for the performing arts instruction for inner city youth, I sought to provide a performing arts program that motivated and inspired at-risk youth to succeed. I looked for opportunities to implement motivational programs and inspire positive transformation. I have worked with alternative rehabilitative facilities such as Pace Center for Girls, Phoenix House in NYC, Office of Children and Family Services in New York (OFCS), Broward County Public Schools and Private Institutions. My leadership has garnered me the respect and recognition of the community.

My biggest lesson that I can share with others is LIFE gives you What you Ask For and you are always asking. Be Definite about what you want and let nothing separate you from your passion and purpose. Be Faithful to YOUR CALL, Be Grateful and Thankful in all things; with the good be grateful, learn from lessons quick whether good, bad, or ugly. NO Pity Parties, they are not Productive. Last but most important of all, Love yourself where you are Now, through your own lens. Each day that lens may change yet Keep LOVING YOU!!!! (This is how I overcame Challenges).

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Fort Lauderdale is living in paradise. The warmth of the sun year-round, the beaches, yachts, shopping, and entertainment. The day should be dedicated to all the above. 1st stop Fort Lauderdale Beach to meditate in the morning and walk 3 miles with me. After our 3-mile walk, we would grab a juice or smoothie from Spa Juice Bar and then just relax on the beach. Now that we have relaxed and enjoyed the waves of the Atlantic Ocean it’s time to gather our things and head back home to get ready for what’s next. Shopping at Sawgrass Outlets!!! Yes, Sawgrass not Bal Harbor or Aventura. Sawgrass Outlets in Sunrise Florida has something for everyone. From the High-end luxury brands, Neiman’s, Fendi, Miu Miu, Gucci, Valentino, Prada, Balenciaga to Gap, Old Navy, Nike, Bed Bath and Beyond and Target just to name a few. Shopping can really build up an appetite; grabbing a bite at Seasons 52 at Sawgrass will satisfy my guests. The day is still young, however most guests decide to rest before dinner.  I have a treat for my guest for our night out. Yachting through the Venice of America, Fort Lauderdale. There’s nothing more spectacular than an evening on a luxury yacht cruising down the intracoastal having dinner and spending quality time with friends. After we disembark the yacht, our final stop is Las Olas for more fun, drinks, and dancing. It’s all Good my Friends, All Good! YAYA!!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

My Mother, My Friend, My Inspiration. All that I am – I owe to her. All that I will be – I owe to her. She’s my Shero and now my Spirit Guide.

My Father, My Guiding Light to follow. He’s allowed me to be me, never putting the brakes on my ideas. His Wisdom is second to none for me personally and today he is still that Light at 91 years young.

My Aunt Carrie – My mentor who guided me by her actions not words alone. All the tidbits of wisdom she would pour into me. “Shani, Love is what it does, not what it says”. “Shani be faithful to your Purpose, and you will reap the benefits of your harvest”. I could go on and on about my Aunt Carrie, she too is now my Spirit Guide.

Napoleon Hill – YouTube all his videos. He is mesmerizing. I have read his books but watching him, he’s remarkable and will make you feel YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO. Napoleon reminds us to have a DEFINITE PURPOSE.
