We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherie Renell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I having been pursuing an artistic and creative career in fashion because, fashion is a true expression of how you feel in the moment. It allows you to be bold. It encourages you to take risks, and forces you to be seen. I absolutely love seeing my clients with a new found confidence after each of our styling sessions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sherie Renell specializes in fashion and wardrobe styling as well as graphic design for small brands. We provide full fashion services to the everyday man and woman. Our most popular services are personal shopping, closet organization, and decluttering. We offer the “grab and go closet” service where we will style multiple outfits for work, date nights, and any other outings conducive to our clients’ lifestyle. Graphic Design is another aspect of Sherie Renell. We help startups and small businesses with marketing materials, such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, social media content, newsletters, websites and more. Owning a business is very rewarding, but as with everything else, there are always challenges. My biggest struggle has been with the major changes in the economy and learning how to adjust business accordingly. The biggest lesson that I have learned with owning a business is that consistency is key. There will be up moments and down moments but it is important to remember why you started the business in the beginning and use that as fuel to keep going. I want the world to know my most rewarding part of the day, is seeing the smile on the face of someone who just got their confidence back.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are so many great places to check out here in Miami. I am a natural born foodie so I will start with food. My favorite place to eat for lunch is Bodega in Miami Beach, their burritos are to die for. For dinner or to hang out with friends for drinks I suggest Bar One in Miami Beach, the food is delicious and the ambiance is always fun. You can’t leave Miami without enjoying some watersports like jet skiing on the beach.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Today, I want to give a shoutout to one of my mentors, Angela Bailey- Executive Director of Urban Reflections, Inc and CEO of Walk This Way Productions. Angela has encouraged me to push myself beyond my limits, and has shown me the potential that I have to perfect my craft. She has helped in building my confidence in business and I will forever be grateful for her love and support.
