We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherriva Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherriva, what matters most to you?
The value and principle of authenticity matters most to me. In the realms of life, friendship, relationship, career, purpose, entrepreneurship and contributing to the collective human experience – authenticity allows me to offer the best of my being. Through reflection and witnessing myself, I have acknowledged where certain past life circumstances have not always embraced my authentic wholeness. The act of forcing myself to comply with certain jobs/job roles, career paths, societal expectations and expectations of external factors has stifled powerful areas of my truth. Fully operating in my beliefs, my perspectives, my ideas, my creative offering, my vision and my heart’s mind brings me peace. Peace allows me to navigate the ebbs and flows of life. Peace allows me to extend myself to humanity, with compassion, understanding, service and supporting fellow humans as they also navigate through the ebbs and flows of life. My authentic truth is the very compass that guides me through the journey of life’s experience. Adhering to my compass of authentic truth connects me to every person I am intended to meet, touch and exchange with along the way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of two separate businesses. Celestial Percipient, LLC serves as a sentient source for experiencing the Sacred Philosophy of Dreams and Astrology, articulated with lucidity & simplicity. I was called to Astrology as a teen 20+years ago. At that time, I was most fascinated with the compatibility component of this area of study. In 2016, I was invited to study Astrology in a more formal setting, which further ignited me to pursue what this tool had to offer. I am most proud of this being my first self-motivated business. I am excited to expand the exposure of my offerings of astrology, intuitive guidance and dream analysis to all that align with my services. My passion for astrology and the guidance it provides has fueled me to share this tool with others as they seek clarity, direction and support through various life experiences. My intuitive capacity to marry one’s personal astrology with dream analysis strongly sets me apart from others. It is a pure joy to work with clients 1:1, with the intention of shedding light on life situations that can sometimes feel overwhelming, unclear and uncertain. Through astrology and dream work, overwhelm is alleviated and confusion is lifted.

Numenclature Tea & Candle House, LLC offers handcrafted candles infused with Reiki and numen. My love for the warmth and comfort of luxury candles called me to create them and share them with the world. I am excited to celebrate the first year of founding this company in May of this year! Numenclature has allowed me to express my love for both candles and astrology in one brand. It has been an honor to see our Zodiac Series candles be well received by the public. Our next focus will be to incorporate luxurious and purposeful tea into our offering.

This past October I took a leap of faith and decided to resign from my corporate job of almost 16 years. This leap is allowing me to focus on both my businesses full time. Devoting my efforts in carrying out my intention for growing my vision of entrepreneurship has challenged me to redefine personal stability and security of providing for myself. It has not been easy, and I have been met with great sacrifice – sacrificing much of what I’ve known about comfort and stability. It has been scary, uncertain, difficult, fascinating and magnificent. I am discovering strengths I never knew I had. I am learning to surrender and to explore deeper levels of trust. I am strengthening my ability to lead and be my own boss. I am meeting higher levels of believing in myself. I want the world to know that fear is only an invitation to choose faith. Every risk that I take for my brand(s) and myself is led by Source. My sovereignty is founded on my obedience to God/Spirit and My Will that aligns with The Highest Creator. Through my businesses, my primary goal is to support others in their ability to recognize and connect with the Divine that is within each of us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Day One: I would take bestie to the grocery store to grab all of our favorite foods and snacks. It is important to have healthy and delicious eats on hand. We often like to pack our food and explore with fuel that we know and love.

Next up, we would change into comfy clothes and explore nearby stores, bookshops, coffee shops, merchants and boutiques that strike our interest. We love a great cup of coffee (specifically Cuban Coffee) and we always find a place to grab a daily cup as we start our adventures.

We particularly enjoy being near a beach. We would grab snacks and head to the beach to commune with Mama Water and extend gratitude for being in nautical bliss.

We would end the day with a nice dinner (in) and then rest for our first full day in the city.

Day Two:
We go grab our cup of Cuban Coffee then head to the beach to witness a beautiful Sunrise. We might even spend a few moments journaling and searching for shells.

After beach time, we would shower and change to go enjoy a lovely brunch, preferably outdoors.

After brunch, we would do some shopping and visit the merchants we discovered the day before. We love connecting with natives of the area and building community with them. We are both intuitive, and that part of our being comes alive when near the water and connecting with sweet and sensitive souls.

After shopping and connecting, we would return to our space to reset and begin building relationship with the items we just purchased. We might also take a nap!

After a few hours, we would change clothes and go have a nice dinner. After dinner, we would walk to find some good salsa music and get carried away with tropical drinks and the rhythm of latin tunes to wrap up the day.

Day Three:
We would go grab our daily coffee, return “home” to enjoy a light breakfast and get dressed for the day. We would then catch an Uber to visit a nearby art district. We appreciate handmade crafts, vibrant colors and meaningful monuments. After exploring the art district, we would have a filling lunch – preferably dining at an authentic restaurant.

After lunch we would head “home” to change and hit the beach. This beach visit, we would rent a cabana and hang out until sunset. During this visit we would talk and spend time journaling, frolicking in the water, getting some sun and meditating.

We would then head “home” to shower and make a nice meal (in) for dinner.

Day Four:
We would do a fun excursion such as a boat ride, visiting an aviary or unique botanical garden.

Day Five:
We would visit a fun mall to explore stores and shops we don’t have at home. We would have a light lunch then bring our things home. We might have a cocktail (in) as we get dressed for some night time fun.

Day Six:
We would go grab our daily coffee then come home to make a nice breakfast. We’d pack up some food and snacks and head out for an all day beach day before heading back home the following day.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother’s continued nurturance, guidance, transparency and support have been the greatest impressions upon all layers of success in my life. Her deep desire to have a daughter lended to the manifestation of me. Her truth is why I am.

My brother and tribe of Divine Sisters have served as a web of support for me. I have been blessed with various partnerships with each individual in my circle of siblings – both through family relation and divine assignment.

My grandparents’ will to instill the concepts of success, self-sufficiency, personal empowerment and generational growth influences me more and more as I mature in age.

My High School (The Andrews School for Girls) taught me the importance of self-reliance, diversity and the power of being female.

My pooch, Nucci, and her presence in my life has exercised and proven my ability to nurture selflessly.
