We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Stearn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sherry, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
When the going gets tough the tough get going! I have learned from being an entrepreneur that you have to push through the fear and anxiety and trust your instincts no matter what!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started my professional career as a fashion model in the NYC showrooms. I worked for Vanity Fair lingerie, Versace Jeans Couture, Max Mara & Calvin Klein Coats to name a few. I then started doing catalog work after shooting with several top photographers Fadil Berisha, Fernando Milani & Adolfo.
I really loved the catalog work and was so grateful to Bari Jay for creating a fashion line of dresses in my name.
I also did some runway & informal modeling for Saks in Stamford Connecticut.
After this I started taking some acting classes and did a few commercials & small parts on Law & Order & SVU.
My true passion has always been songwriting with long time composer Dor Lata. We have written over 50 songs & several were used on independent films Winter Chill & Meal Ticket directed by Frank Slaten. A documentary film called Dreamaker by Lars Erik Siren & Phil Morse.
I currently live in South Florida and still act in infomercials, commercials. I also sell wine & spirits for Grilos International & pitch products at home shows for Prestige Products Direct and JJD Enterprises.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
When friends come to visit I love to take them to South Beach to the beach & all the fun shops on Collins Ave & Fort Lauderdale Some of my favorite restaurants are Smith & Wollensky, Eatapas & Casa Del Mare! I also love going to Hollywood Beach to hang out at Red Pelican & Thirty One Lounge on Hollywood Blvd. I love the Miami Zoo in Kendall & always going to Flemings in Coral Gables, as well! One of my favorite experiences was riding an airboat in The Everglades with my sister!
Of course Disney World too.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my success to my sister, Laurie Stearn
