We had the good fortune of connecting with Sherry Velozo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sherry, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Our company is Raise the Vibe which spans across various industries from products to events, to coaching and music. Our main focus is elevating the energies and vibrations of our commUNITY. It all starts with commUNITY. At our core, we are building a better tomorrow. Bringing alignment to the people around us through all of the facets of our company. Our product is Blunteez, a multifunctional pendant for holding herb, keys, glasses, badges, pens, and more. It is a huge factor for our financial success. It has been widely received online and at in-person events. We have currently gotten Blunteez out to 43 out of 50 states and are very focused on the expansion.
What should our readers know about your business?
The work we do is currently divided amongst two people, Owner Jonathan Ramos and Inventor/Artist Sherry Velozo. What sets us apart is most definitely the passion, energy, and devotion we have to building together. The people drawn to Raise the Vibe understand and value those aspects of who we are and how it’s encompassed into everything we do and create. We’re most proud of the commUNITY we’ve built and the healing it provides to everyone within it. We wouldn’t be here without their backing and encouragement, or the support and drive of one another. The biggest challenges are learning to navigate everything from marketing, finances, and research.. technically it’s all been a learning process from beginning to end. Was it easy? Not quite. To overcome the challenges we have drawn a lot from prior professional experience and loads of solid communication. Fortunately, we’ve taken on a lot of different events and avenues for growth and most of them have led to success. One of the biggest lessons is being mindful of where and who we invest our time and resources into. Having official agreements and documentation, and not fearing asking lots of questions and knowing what questions to ask is the difference between successful runs and depletion.
We want the world to know that elevating one another and building a solid commUNITY is the most important thing to us. The rest comes rather naturally with that backing in place.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We live in Miami and are extremely communal, so most of our favorite spots are little hidden gems with the most elevated people. To name a few, Rasta Village, Little Bohemia, and the Historic Virginia Key. We fancy making delicious homemade meals, so if you’re in town, the Raise the Vibe kitchen is where it’s at.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout goes to our Raise the Vibe commUNITY! It started at Rasta Village in Miami, Florida, which was introduced to us by Johnny’s grandma Julia. She, along with the rest of our commUNITY have believed in us and supported us wholeheartedly. Blunteez was inspired by a dear friend, Joanna. With the backing of many of our friends and family, and a kick in the ass, we launched the product sector of our company and have been flourishing because of it. Support spans across the country from so many wonderful people.
