We had the good fortune of connecting with Silvia Gaeta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Silvia, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We started our brand GrisPetalo® in 2018, I was pregnant at the moment and I have always loved the European stylish look for newborns and babies, when I started looking clothes for my baby girl, I couldn’t find anything online that i liked and felt good, also what i found here locally i didn’t like and thought the fabric and detail was awful and didn’t like the feel of it. So I actually had to buy the clothes from Europe and had it shipped here which took a long time. That remained in my mind, my husband and I always have had an entrepreneurial heart so we teamed up and took matters into our hands to create a new different line of baby clothing. we wanted to create clothing with the same stylish European look but also more comfortable, lightweight, breathable and softer. I started doing designs and searching manufacturers and he created the website and all the online marketing and after a lot of testing and finally being able to create what we were looking for we launched our first collection. It’s been years of hard work, improving our designs and materials to the level of detailed care we like, and we still continue working hard every day to create the best clothing line for babies, as we call it its babies’ clothes reenvisioned.

What should our readers know about your business?
We are a baby clothing brand, our main focus is to create beautiful stylish pieces that are also comfortable, cozy and functional, all of our clothing is 100% hypoallergenic, designed and created specifically for babys delicate skin, we didn’t want to be just another baby clothing brand thats why we create the highest quality products with an extreme level of care, making sure our pieces are beautiful but also good for your baby , soft and comfy. As we say its babies clothes reenvisioned.

We are really excited about our newer collections since they are in bigger sizes so we can continue to dress your beautiful babies all the way through their first couple of years, we have great upcoming designs and new products that have us really happy and excited for the future.

It hasn’t been easy at all, when we started we didn’t know much about manufacturing clothing or designing, we also did not know much about ecommerce or online business. what we knew and believed was that the product we had created was lacking in the market and we were all in on our idea. it was hard at the beginning trying to get your name out there, not having too much budget it was a challenge to advertise, we are completely self funded so at the early stages it was definitely hard, what we focused on was on providing endless value for our customers and make sure each one of them had a wonderful experience with our brand. we have come a very long way since we started and we keep growing and learning everyday.
Your product, website , marketing is not going to be perfect on the first day and early stages, what you have to do is just start and try and test , thats how you overcome your challenges and learn and improve, you need to have a mindset that every big mistake you make will make you learn and work harder to be better and stronger.

it’s been years of hard work, improving our designs and materials to the level of detailed care we like, and we still continue working hard every day to create the best clothing line for babies.
Today we feel so happy and blessed to have the opportunity to dress thousands of babies, we love and feel privileged for each mom or dad that chooses us to dress their babies, and could never imagine a life without the beautiful community of loyal parents that love GrisPetalo® .

so we are based in denver colorado, its such a beautiful and great city to live.

the first spots i always love to take my friends and family when they visit are:

1. Red Rocks Amphitheater
2. Washington park
3. Vail and Breckenridge in the Mountains
4. To eat i love a restaurant called barcelona wine bar and also North and Safta.
5. to drink i alway like the cherry creek north area.
6. and finally union station is a pretty cool spot to walk around and take pictures.
