We had the good fortune of connecting with SiNNY N0VA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi SiNNY, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Happiness is music. Happiness is seeing my peers and myself success, staying true to ourselves despite all the odds. As long as I have music in my life I will always experience happiness. But also like Koreans and Chinese dramas, anime, naps and food. It makes me feel calm.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a Producer/Artist I feel like I have a superpower. I’m able to put genres in my own world and give it a galactic spin! Blending genres together with my spacey video game tech style really sets me apart from my peers. It’s very niche and unique.

I’m really proud of my production lately. Just working and being around my peers really helped me get out of my comfort zone and try different techniques which has made my music sooo much better.

Honestly I wouldn’t have gotten far without my friends but my determined mindset has definitely done a lot of the work. You can’t be afraid to fail. You have to keep going for what you want and never stop.

I want people especially young black trans girls to know that you are able to do anything you want to. And there are spaces for us. I look around and there arnt really a lot of black fem trans artist doing pop like that. I want to be a beacon of hope for them. Aswell as anyone else who resonates with my pain and happiness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Honestly I can’t really tell you! I’m not an outside person I just do things when my friends make plans. I’m a homebody I like to chill with my friends and be around them more than anything.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The person I really wanna to shout out is my manager EG0. They have been with me since I dropped “17” in 2020 and even before that honestly! The way they push me to become a better artist and person is something that I will hold dear to my heart forever. I also want to give a shout-out to my good sister LAH as she has been there for me aswell! She is so talented and I love our friendship and sessions we have together. I can’t forget about my girls Jarrin McDowell, Cortisa Star, CherryX and Femthugg. They have all been there watching me and supporting my vision. Helping me become the artist I am today. CherryX does not play when it comes to writing and it makes me want to get better as a rapper.
