Meet Sofia Ayala | Founder of Vice Boat Club & The Bachy

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Ayala and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sofia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Since university, something sparked in me about entrepreneurship. I started selling sweets like brownies, donuts, and cupcakes. It was my way of learning what it really takes to run a business — everything from organizing it, managing the financials, to thinking strategically. Later, I graduated as an industrial engineer, which gave me the foundation I needed to take the next step and follow my true passion for entrepreneurship.
During the pandemic, the yacht charter industry grew significantly, and I saw a huge opportunity to not just rent yachts, but to create an experience. Over time, I discovered a niche in bachelorette parties, a potential market I could explore. After all, what bachelorette visiting Miami wouldn’t want a day on a yacht? It’s the number one plan. That’s how I focused on this sector, and today, I’m proud to say that Vice Boat Club is the number one yacht rental company in Miami for bachelorette parties.
From there, The Bachy was born! I created an e-commerce selling bachelorette party products across the U.S. and worldwide.

What should our readers know about your business?
What truly sets us apart from others is that at Vice Boat Club, we don’t just rent yachts; we create a complete experience. We think about every detail so our clients don’t have to worry about a thing. We specialize in bachelorette parties, and what we’re most proud of is that our clients choose us because we take care of everything. We’re experts in this field, and we do it all with love and passion. Our clients are the most important thing to us, and that’s what makes us different from the rest.
The biggest reward for us is always seeing the faces of our clients. Some even cry tears of joy when they step onto their bachelorette yacht with their friends. That’s the kind of experience we want to create. Those moments are what drive us every day.
Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. Like any entrepreneur, we faced challenges. The first few years were tough. We had to learn from our mistakes, adapt to the market’s needs, and trust our vision. There were times when it felt lonely, but the key was never giving up. We learned that perseverance, surrounding ourselves with people who believed in us, and being open to change were essential. Over time, we realized that obstacles are just opportunities to grow and improve.
What I’ve learned along the way is that passion and authenticity are key. If you love what you do, that energy will radiate to others. I’ve also learned to be resilient and embrace change. Every challenge has been a valuable lesson, and one thing this journey has taught me is that success doesn’t come overnight, but with persistence and love for what you do, the rewards will follow.
I want the world to know that Vice Boat Club isn’t just a business – it’s a passion. We strive to offer more than just a service; we offer unforgettable moments. Our story is one of love for what we do, courage to push forward despite the challenges, and dedication to making every bachelorette party a truly unique experience.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting and I wanted to show her the best time in Miami, plan number one would definitely be to rent a yacht with Vice Boat Club. I’d take her to some of the best spots, like Nixon Sandbar to hang out in the crystal-clear water, and we’d cruise by Star Island to check out the mansions and famous houses. It’s not just a fun ride, but a perfect way to show her what I do and share the magic of Miami from the water. There’s nothing better than cruising with your closest friends and enjoying the beautiful views.
After that, we’d head to Sawgrass Mall for a shopping scape. You can never go wrong there! There’s something for everyone. If we want something a bit more upscale, we’d check out Brickell City Center for a more trendy vibe.
For breakfast, we’d hit Bistro Cafe. I’m obsessed with their food. Then, we’d grab a coffee at Libertino Cafe or Novela Cafe for that perfect Miami vibe. For lunch, Mister O1 is a must, especially for their incredible pizza, and Flanigan’s is always a go-to spot with the best Ribs in all Florida.
In the evening, we’d go to Lagniappe to chill with some wine and live music – the perfect spot to unwind. And if there’s a regatta happening, Regatta Grove in Coconut Grove is definitely on the list for something unique and exciting to experience.
We’d also explore Wynwood and the Design District. The art scene is amazing, and there’s always something cool to see. I’d make sure we stop by the Perez Art Museum too. And of course, we’d rent bikes and cruise around Miami Beach for a fun, laid-back way to see the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The person who truly deserves the most credit for my success is Gregorio, my partner. While I may be the face of Vice Boat Club and The Bachy today, everything we’ve built has been a team effort. Every decision, every detail, and every ounce of hard work has been shared between us. Vice Boat Club and The Bachy wouldn’t be what they are today without his unwavering support, dedication, and vision. We’ve always been in this together, and I truly believe that our success is a reflection of our teamwork and commitment to building something meaningful. He’s my biggest supporter, my partner in every sense of the word, and a huge part of our journey.
