We had the good fortune of connecting with Sophia Dottin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sophia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor to my success are my kids. They’re my motivation for everything I do. My daughter plans to be in the medical field so we wanted to create an all natural skincare product to jumpstart her medical career. Our products are formulated for everyone and especially those who suffer from skin conditions. My daughter helps with a lot of the social media marketing and that helps because there are so many platforms to choose from now and for me it’s hard to keep up. For my son, it’s a chance for him to see that entrepreneurship is possible, especially as a black man. He’s able to see the behind the scenes of the business from the products, to packaging, to building our website. I think our success comes from it being a family business and the products are all natural.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Becoming a business owner is very rewarding and challenging. You put in many hours in creating your vision and brand. You make many mistakes but also learn many lessons. The more you see your vision come to reality the more you get excited and motivated. You definitely have to invest time in research and setting yourself apart from the competition. When creating my brand I wanted something all natural, fresh, and unique. I look for ingredients that not only help promote healthy skin but also can be used by all skin types without adverse reactions. Full Face Skin is a brand that everyone in the family can benefit from.

We want to help promote a healthy family lifestyle and also have a product that can bring the family together. With our products, family members can encourage health and wellness while also combating any skin conditions.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Saint Petersburg is an exciting area. We are surrounded by water so you have your choice of many beaches. Downtown Saint Pete has many bars and restaurants to visit. At the St. Pete Pier you have Doc Ford’s which sots right on the water and us dog friendly. At the Pier itself you have the Tiki Hut, which has amazing views of the whole downtown waterfront. The Dali museum is a fav for the artist. DTSP is an open outdoor bar with many games to keep you entertained. 30 minutes north is Clearwater Beach, which is a huge tourist area.

You can take a Dolphin Boat tour, a Pirate ship boat tour, or a dinner cruise on the Calypso Queen. Over the bridge in Tampa you have WTR which is a huge outside pool bar right on the water. Fun fact – this used to be Hogan Beach Bar, owned by WWF Hulk Hogan. You also have Whiskey Joe’s across the water where you can ride your jet ski or boat right up and chill on the beach. Sunday’s they have a live beach band and dj. We also have Hard Rock Casino if you like to gamble.


The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My story comes from my grandmothers. Both are from the Caribbean and decided to bring their kids to America for a better education and a chance at becoming anything they desired. Their perseverance for success sprinkled on me and it what drives me to do better. Their belief in God and love for family is the foundation of what I live by.
