We had the good fortune of connecting with Sophia Guerrero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sophia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up, I always loved to express myself through the arts. Dance and video production were a big part of my life in school and I looked forward to it everyday. I knew I wanted to pursue a creative career so I would get to see the world in a unique way and follow my many passions.

I decided to take the risk and go to an acting studio where I got to meet amazing people within the industry. It really opened my eyes, and I realized you can do anything you set your mind to.

From then on I started booking acting gigs, working with brands and doing photoshoots. I am thrilled to see where my creative endeavors will take me!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
After I graduated from High School I knew I did not want to follow the same path as everyone else. I went to college for two years, however I quickly realized it was not for me.

I was at a low point in my life and knew I needed to find myself. I decided to start my health and fitness journey and got into modeling. I created my very own portfolio with an amazing photographer I met from Model Mayhem. He taught me how to pose and showed me a list of agencies here in Miami.

I also wanted to take my acting career more seriously and began taking acting lessons and building my video reel. I am currently taking online commercial acting classes from The Studio Orlando where I have learned so much about the industry.

I recently got signed to an entertainment agency and look forward to booking more work and growing as an artist. I am forever grateful for all of the opportunities coming my way. With hard work and determination, anything is possible!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Miami has so many amazing spots to visit, it is truly a great city to live in! Some of my favorite hang-out spots include South Beach, Wynwood, Bayside Marketplace and Key Biscayne.

If you are a big pizza lover like me I recommend Casola’s Pizzeria & Sub Shop. I also enjoy going to Boston Market as they have the best rotisserie chicken meals, cornbread, and meatloaf.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my family and friends for always supporting me in what I do.

My parents have done an amazing job in guiding me along the way and without them, I would be lost. They are the reason I do what I do.

My brothers have been nothing but encouraging as well and I am grateful to have such a loving support system.
