We had the good fortune of connecting with Sophia Savoie-Lanouette-Loy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sophia, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I got into skincare because I loved the idea of empowering people to feel like the best versions of themselves. I help people get ready for weddings, babies, new careers, first dates, and sometimes even move through loss. People not only trust me with their skincare but they began to trust me with some of the deepest parts of their being. To be able to provide a space like this in the community I love so much, means the absolute world to me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a boutique skincare studio. I specialize in anti-aging. My background is in medical esthetics, however I really wanted to create a space that felt more therapeutic then most med spas. I had a vision for a relaxing and zen like spa, that delivered more clinical results. Most med spas have you in and out in under and hour, while resort style spas are much more leisurely but don’t bring you lasting results——so I aim to give you both experiences. I moved here from seattle with dreams of making this a reality and I’m so proud of what I’ve accomplished in my five years. I was awarded top ten spas in south Florida by Fort Lauderdale magazine, coming here with zero clients I literally had to build from the ground up. I truly like to think I got here by being genuine, and by pouring myself wholeheartedly Into everyone that walks through my doors. I managed to stay a float through a global pandemic, beat cancer, and became a mom and through it all I’ve learned that love is the most powerful feeling that can help you achieve almost anything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Innerlight studios to get our nails done, then pasta and for the best Italian in Florida, explore the art scene in miami, take them to my favorite craft beer bar laserwolf, and the beach of course (with sunscreen and a hat on 😉 )

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout to all the small business owners that really make our community special and inspire me to keep on grinding. The town you live in is the canvas, but small businesses are the paint that bring that canvas to life.
