Meet Spencer Henn | Co-Founder of Viva Siempre

We had the good fortune of connecting with Spencer Henn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Spencer, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
For me, it started with frustration — and honesty.
I had just come off playing baseball professionally, and for the first time in years… I felt lost. I didn’t know what was next.
The structure, the purpose, the identity — it was all gone.
And on top of that, I was tired of the shape I was in. Tired of not feeling like myself.
At the same time, everywhere I looked, the fitness space was filled with perfect routines, elite performances, and this pressure to always be “on.”
That’s just not real life.
I’ve been an athlete. I’ve also fallen off.
I’ve had to restart — more times than I can count.
So the idea behind starting my own business wasn’t just about creating a product — it was about creating a community for people like me.
People who are trying, failing, restarting… and doing it anyway.
That’s why I started Viva Siempre.
I wanted to build a brand that wasn’t about perfection — it was about persistence.
Something that reminded people that just showing up still counts.
And honestly, I also wanted the challenge.
I was ready to build something I believed in — from scratch — and put my own story into it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My journey hasn’t been a straight line — but every chapter has shaped who I am and what I’m building.
I started out as a pro baseball player. That chapter taught me discipline, how to work under pressure, and how to show up even when things don’t go your way. But when that ended, I found myself at a crossroads — no structure, no routine, no real direction. I moved from Cincinnati to Miami and began working in the group home setting, supporting individuals with disabilities.
That work completely changed my life.
It gave me purpose at a time when I really needed it.
And it’s helped me grow — not just professionally, but as a human being.
At the same time, I was also battling my own health and identity. I had lost the drive I once had as an athlete, gained weight, and struggled to stay consistent. I would restart my fitness journey over and over again. That cycle — the slipping, the restarting, the rebuilding — became familiar. And eventually, it became the foundation for Viva Siempre.
What sets this brand apart is that it’s not built for perfect runners or elite athletes. It’s built for the real ones — the people like me, who miss workouts, who fall off, but keep trying. Viva Siempre means “live forever,” and to me, that means doing the work now — physically, mentally, emotionally — so we can live a full, healthy life.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that progress isn’t always pretty. But if you keep showing up, it counts. That mindset has carried me through so many restarts, and it’s what I want to share with the world.
If there’s one thing I hope people take from my story, it’s that you’re never too far off to begin again.
That’s what Viva Siempre is about.
Not perfection — persistence.
Not best runs — next runs.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We’d definitely start with a morning run, either on the beach or through one of the local parks. There’s nothing like running early in Miami — the light, the humidity, the energy — it just hits different. If we’re feeling it later in the week, I’d take them to a session at the gym too, just to keep us moving and feeling good throughout the trip.
After that, we’d grab coffee at Haute Coffee, my favorite shop. Chill vibe, solid menu — a great place to reset after a workout or just catch up.
We’d hit the beach early on in the trip to unwind, then check out Southwest Ranches Farmers Market — it’s one of my favorite local spots. Good food, good people, and the kind of place that reminds you to slow down and enjoy simple things.
We’d spend a day exploring South Beach, walking around, soaking in the energy. Then maybe head to the Design District to shop or get inspired by the layout and design. If they wanted to really go in, we’d take a trip to Aventura Mall too — it never disappoints.
For food, I’m definitely taking them to my go-to spots:
Motek
COTE Miami
Louie Bossi
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s no way I’d be where I am without the people around me — so this shoutout definitely starts with my wife, Aneybis.
She’s been by my side through every version of me — the pro athlete, the guy trying to figure out life after baseball, the one gaining and losing momentum… and now, the one building something from scratch. She’s pushed me to chase this dream, reminded me why it matters, and kept believing in me when I wasn’t so sure myself. Her support has been everything.
I also have to shout out my family — they’ve always been in my corner. Whether it’s words of encouragement, checking in, or just being a reminder of who I’m doing this for, they’ve played a big part in keeping me grounded and motivated through every phase.
And honestly, I could go person by person and name everyone who’s supported Viva Siempre so far — from the friends who reposted the first drop to the people who sent me a message saying the brand hit home for them. Every one of you matters.
Every bit of support means the world to me, and it’s all helped shape what this brand is becoming. I don’t take any of it for granted.
