We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefani Talevska and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stefani, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up, I was always into music, art & fashion. It has always been my passion to express myself & my feelings through art. I wanted the world to see me in different colors. It is much easier to express how I feel, how I think through my artistic projects rather than using actual words. It helps me identify who I truly am at all times. I cannot be just one thing. I cannot stay in one lane only. I want to be part of both worlds. Where is this written rule that I cannot be a singer, a fashion model and an accountant at the same time? This is what motivated me to keep pursuing a career in this industry. I wanted to inspire other people who’s been told that they need to pick just one thing, one career for the rest of their lives. Well, I say otherwise. We are not defined by one thing. With good time management and organization, you can do anything, you can be anyone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Currently, I am a senior at Rutgers University in Newark, double majoring in Accounting & Finance. I will be graduating in May 2023. However, I have started my accounting career back in 2019, when I worked for a smaller accounting company. I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge especially in preparing Federal & State Tax Returns for individuals and businesses. I wanted to furthermore enhance my accounting career so I’ve applied for an internship with one of the Big 4. I worked in the corporation for eight months where I decided to stay and accept my full-time offer as a tax associate. In addition, I am preparing to obtain my CPA license as well. The journey was not easy at all. I studied and worked hard to get where I am today. I am proud of myself for accomplishing this much success in my career at only 24 years old. But this is not where I stop. Accounting is only 80% of my professional career. The other 20% are music, art & fashion. I am a singer and I release my own music with the assistance of my fellow friends & music producers. I started being more consistently involved in the artistic world in 2021. Along the way, I met a lot of DJs, music producers, models, artist managers, club owners, etc with whom I work all the time. We have many amazing, upcoming projects coming soon that I cannot wait to share them with you.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Since I live in New Jersey, I spend all of my free time in New York City. I have many favorite spots, but I would definitely recommend my favorite ones: 1. Brooklyn Mirage – If you enjoy the nightlife as much as I am, this is the place you need to visit. This venue is incredible. The layout is so cool and the ambiance is even better. You can see beautiful views of New York City all around. It is big and very organized. The drinks are really good (I would recommend Watermelon Sugar).
2. Central Park – No matter the season, this park is my one of my favorite spots because it is very lively, there is always people doing various activities. In winter, you can ice skate, in summer you can picnic and watch outside movies. Great place to disappear in plain sight. I would recommend renting a bike or going for a walk on one of the carriage rides.
3. Summit One Vanderbilt – Combines aspects of technology with art, elevating the idea of a “observation deck” to new levels. Here, you can discover three levels of immersive, multi-sensory activities on the top of Midtown Manhattan’s tallest commercial building. On all 3 levels of Summit, you can take in breathtaking 360-degree views of New York City and beyond, including up-close looks at the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. The whole experience is very classy and modern and it is the perfect spot to take amazing, breathtaking pictures. I would recommend including cocktail in your package – a lovely way to end the experience.
4. All of the museums (MET, American Museum of Natural History, The Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Ice Cream, Museum of Illusions, Museum of Sex) – If you have an artistic soul like me, then these museums are a MUST VISIT. Each museum it’s spectacular in its own way, rich with stunning history displays, fabulous art and architecture.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The answer to this question will be my family. They have always supported me no matter what career or life choices I made in my life. They have guided me and showed me the right way, but eventually it was up to me to choose my direction, my path to walk. In addition, I also want to express my gratitude to my friends, followers and everyone who showed me support, love and compassion on this journey, because without all of these people, I would not be who I am today.
