We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Sahadeo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always been a creative since a young age, in all forms of art. Dancing, singing, drawing, painting, writing and the list goes on. I’ve learned that art is a tool that can be used to express yourself and also can be very therapeutic. As I got older, finding a way to combine my passion for art with a way of creating a source of income was key for me, to be happy and aligned in my self-purpose. I learned that for me, creating art on the demand of others, is draining, and actually made me start to dislike creating. I started to lose the love for it but that’s when I realized it wasn’t that I was losing the love for creating, I just wasn’t creating in my self expression. Sharing my own creations is where I feel fulfilled as an artist.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been a creative since a very young age, in all forms of art. Dancing, singing, drawing, painting, writing and so on. As cliche as it may seem, I think the driving force for my brand is the trials and tribulations I have underwent. There’s a beauty through every struggle and being able to learn and move forward, is where I find helps me evolve and push my brand harder every time. One thing I’d like to share about my brand and story is that wherever you are in your journey- embrace it and share it. We may all come from different walks of life but we are not so different from one another. The more we continue to learn and love one another, the greater and powerful we all may become.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ah man, alright so boom so. we got – Kubo Asian Fusion for delicious sushi and anime themed drinks
– Bar Rita for amazing fish and shrimp tacos and dope atmosphere
– 15th Street fisheries for a nice night out and great seafood
– Farmers Market for local business vendors and family fun
– Hollywood Beach boardwalk for fun in the sun
– Jet Skis and boating in South Beach
– The Urban for day party or a night out
– Backyard for a Litty brunch
Of course there’s more but these would definitely be things to include

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my big sis and mentor Brittany Cole and also to my [F]aces fam & coach , L Waiters, may he rest in peace. These two individuals helped shape me to the person I am today with their kindness, compassion, and genuine love for me and my growth. They saw and believed in me in ways I was not able to see. They guided me when I was lost, listened when I was frustrated and wanted to give up, and also yelled at me when I needed to get my stuff together. I can never repay them back for the valuable, timeless life skills they shared with me. Thank you!
