We had the good fortune of connecting with Succession Marketing and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Succession, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Independence and creative control. At one point, we felt like we hit the ceiling at our place of employment and realized that climbing the corporate ladder can only provide a limited amount of personal satisfaction and growth. We wanted to control our destinies and spend our time building something special that we truly believed in.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Getting started was pretty challenging as I’m sure any business owner can attest to. While some folks focus solely on establishing their business, we took a safer approach in trying to institute our business while juggling a 9 to 5. This made time our biggest enemy.
Through trials and tribulations we were able to identify more efficient ways to service our customers without sacrificing the quality we always wanted to deliver. This helped get us through those turbulent times until we could eventually focus strictly on Succession Marketing.
These experiences taught us that all business owners, particularly start ups, have a common challenge: Time.
Unfortunately, online marketing, particularly social media, often times gets pushed down in priority for items that require immediate attention. While this is understandable, social media marketing in this day and age should be considered a top priority as it could mean the difference between having a successful business or one who’s doors closed much too early.
We here at Succession Marketing understand this importance as well as the challenge. It is because of this understanding, that we offer a complete solution to a company’s online marketing needs while providing full visibility of efforts and progress. We want to provide a business with all of the benefits of a solid online marketing strategy without sacrificing the owners most valuable asset: Time.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are many places to visit in Miami. A must would be the Super Blue Museum which has a number of unique and surprising exhibits.
Bodega would be a restaurant of choice on Wednesday evenings as their great tacos are accompanied by live music – so long as you know about the “secret” entrance. Crazy About You or some rooftop dining at the Vatican food hall are all great choices as well.
For an outdoor experience, kayaking at the Oleta River State Park is always a treat, as is taking a bike ride in one of their many bike trails.
And for shopping, the Brickell City Centre is a great place to visit.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our partnership has been a great driving force for us as we are constantly brainstorming and building off of each others ideas. Our skill sets definitely compliment one another and it’s a big reason for our success.
But if there is someone that deserves a shout out, it is our first batch of clients. Their feedback has been instrumental in building what we have today and their early support was definitely a driving force in solidifying our business as more than just an idea or dream.
