We had the good fortune of connecting with Suhelen Solorzano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Suhelen, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My family, my son, Life work balance and be present for my family while I helping others to find their place called home or investment property as well as help sellers find the right buyer for their property.
I have always like helping people, seeing people happy makes me happy. I love to be part of that feeling, Real Estate is one of the biggest and most important decision people make. I got into Real Estate Professionally, after a couple of years of doing Real Estate Investment for myself. I Realized how much more is there to help buyers and sellers, and how little was offered. I want to help everyone who is looking or in the process of buying, selling Real Estate, wether to reside, or invest. I can make this transaction much smoother, after all, obtaining a piece of Real Estate, should be one of the happiest day of your life!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Global Real Estate Advisor, I have had the opportunity to help people find their dream home, first time home, upgrade into a bigger home or sometimes downsize. I have help Real Estate investors, I am not a sells person, I am a property match maker. Whatever your needs are in Real Estate; I will help you find it. My favorite parts of the process is the negotiation part and the closing day! South Florida has so much to offer, and actually people wants to move here, so I just need to guide them through the process of purchasing a property. help find the right property, style, neighborhood, amenities, size, location, all based on your life style, needs and likes. I always ask people what are your three MUST HAVES, and WHY? What they can compromise with and what not. This helps me and helps them see the bigger picture. Some people are ok with making some home improvements while some are looking for a turn key, move in ready property. All these questions are part of my consultation for a successful closing. I love to communicate with my clients about every single step and update them as we move along. I have found this very helpful and keeps all parties on the same page and happy. Was it easy? No! Real Estate is one of the biggest investments people make, so they need to trust who they work with. As a professional, I need to answer all my clients questions and if any issue arise, be able to solve it. Sometimes unexpected situations will come up, but we have to look for the solution and not the problem.

I believe that I have gained people’s trust, just by being upfront, honest and not a sells person but look for whats best for them. In reward, I have gained referrals from past clients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

South Florida is known for its beaches, dining and Resorts. I would love to start in Miami for a couple of days, stay at the standard Resort and Spa.
Spa day, pool time, lounge and drinks and then off to dinner at any of my favorite spots. I don’t have just one favorite spot. There are too many good options. Some of my favorites are, prime 12, Novikov, Stk, Sexy fish, La Mar (peruvian), Komodo, Crazy about you, Gabbiano, etc
Now lets talk about shopping! Bal Harbour, a designer, luxury mall, you can really spend all day here from window shopping to getting the latest styles in shoes, purses and clothing. I would love to take them to brunch to Peacock Garden Resto Bar + Grill , or seaspice. Then jump on the brightline – Fast train and take them to see Fort Lauderdale Beach, downtown, las Olas, maybe stay for a couple of days to visit some of the art Galleries, beaches, take a boat ride for a sunset cruise. Eat at one of my favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale, Dune Restaurant at the Auberge Residence. then keep going North to Palm Beach, to Breakers Resort for another couple of days maybe play some golf, relax by the pool. and end with a nice warm meal and a glass of wine at Flagers Steakhouse.
I live in Fort Lauderdale which it is in the middle of Miami and Palm Beach. So I like to take my guest South and North from where I live to show them around. But, the best thing of living here is, I can drive for couple of hours and visit the keys, or if there are kids involved, I will definitely take them to Orlando, 3.5 hours drive to Disney World where everyone can be a child again!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I will always thank my family for their support, my son for motivating me every day, he’s my weakness and strength….. I was a single mom for few years and it was definitely a challenge, from starting a new career, working full time and while also being a full time mom. I had to wear so many hats, but all that made me only stronger. It helped me be where I am and who I am now.
Now I enjoy the flexibility my work provides me with and I can enjoy family time better. I love what I do! I am a Real Estate Matchmaker! I help people find their dream home or their best investments in Real Estate. I thank to my team The Curated Collection Group. Jay Granieri and Lori Suarez the team principals for the opportunity to have me in the team and holding me accountable often.
