We had the good fortune of connecting with Sujei Siems and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sujei, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a dedicated mother and recently married wife, my entrepreneurial journey began unexpectedly yet beautifully. For 25 years, I shared my traditional coquito beverage with family and friends, its rich flavors encapsulating years of love and tradition. In 2019, an idea sparked within me – to venture beyond tradition and create new, innovative flavors that would captivate people’s hearts.
With courage and determination, I introduced my new flavors to the world, and to my surprise, sold 150 bottles in no time. It was in that moment that I realized I had stumbled upon something truly special. The feeling of success and accomplishment ignited a fire within me, propelling me towards a new dream – to establish a brand that radiated creativity and passion.
Driven by this newfound purpose, I began to explore other realms of creativity inspired by nature. Moss art, preserved pampas grass, and delicate flowers became my canvases, and interior decor my playground. Each creation was a testament to my growing passion and artistic flair.
With every moss art piece sold and my studio room adorned with my designs, I felt a sense of fulfillment unlike any other. It was as though I had finally discovered my true calling, a path that resonated with my soul and ignited my spirit. The once timid dream of owning a business had blossomed into a thriving reality, fueled by boundless creativity and unwavering passion.
In the heart of my brand, I found a world where imagination knew no bounds, where every stroke of creativity felt like second nature. It was a world where I thrived, where my ideas took flight and my spirit soared. From the humble beginnings of sharing coquito to the grandeur of crafting art and decor, my journey as a business owner had transformed into a vibrant tapestry of color, innovation, and joy. I know in my heart that this where I belong and I will continue my journey to create more opportunities for LottaCoco Creations. This is my story, thus far – a testament to the power of passion and the beauty of embracing one’s true calling.

Working as a Sales Representative at Brooks Tropical’s is more than just a job for me; it was my lifeline for the past 17 years. Starting at the age of 30 as a single mother of two, my days were filled with endless challenges and sacrifices. I was determined to be independent and provide a better life for my children, no matter the struggle.
My focus was solely on my kids; dreams were a luxury I couldn’t afford. Each day was a battle to ensure the rent was paid and there was food on the table. But despite the hardships, I managed to achieve a milestone – buying our first home. It wasn’t just a house; it was a symbol of hope, a place where my children could have their own rooms and play outside in a safe neighborhood. That was my dream realized at that moment.
Years passed, and life took an unexpected turn when I met someone special. He brought light into my world, a light I never knew existed. With him, I gained two more beautiful children, and our family grew in love and laughter. It was then that my journey with LottaCoco began.
LottaCoco isn’t just a business; it is a manifestation of love and passion. My husband’s presence ignited a spark within me, fueling me to pursue my dreams with newfound vigor. With his unwavering support, we embarked on this entrepreneurial adventure together, creating a brand built on nothing but dedication and devotion.
As I look back on my journey, I’m grateful for the struggles that led me to where I am today. What started as a solo mission to provide for my children blossomed into a family venture filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of coconut-infused dreams, lol..lol…and we will continue to manifest these dreams.
