Meet Susan Plummer | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Susan Plummer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Susan, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Creativity is the imagination of an idea in the form of an artistic work that shows a person’s deepest imagination to their fear joy, love, and life that pulls out their passion to the layers of their life. In each layer of our life we experience a mix of emotion that leads to a creative experience.
The creative mystery to everyone’s life lies in their journey, whether it’s the path we are on or the hills we climb, we all have that special moment where we do something, or find someone, or something that is given to us that makes our life blossoms to it’s perfection, but the mystery about this is that not everyone see or feel the joy, the love or the effects, we sometimes miss it because of the layers of life that we are facing in that moment, that’s when you have to walk the same road twice or even triple just to find the peace in between the lines, that pull the space to give you comfort rap in the mids of your storms, to remind us that even though the road is rough their is a battle to be fight and joy is at the end, but each of us have our own mystery to unfold, to live, to fullfil.
The reason I pursue an artistic career is for healing the past traumas that I have encountered, to pour out my pain,my heart, and my love in painting and making clothes and
writing books, plus others but that is a mystery for another time, to clear my mind and to heal my soul and to find myself within the mystery layers that unfold my life.
Life is full of layers and it doesn’t matter where or when, we have to travel each layer and in each layer we find the battle to be fought for what our heart desires the most, some of us fight to the very end, wild some give up, you have to go through each layers of life to find the happiness or peace that you desire, that your heart and yearn for badly.
Creativity comes from our deepest desire, which is the deepest part of our soul, that explains the layers of life hidden deep within, and in each of these layers we have our own stories to tell, but it all spring from a form of past trauma, each of us has traumas that we bear, within that we tell our own stories.
The layers to my creativity begins with turning my pain into something that kills me I started making keychains, making candles, making organic soaps and then eventually I evolve into making clothes and painting that’s where I poured out all my desires, my pain, my love, my lust and my most inner deep layers that have his own mystery to unfold.

**I lock the door to hide my pain, I close my eyes so as not to see my pain, I lock away my feelings to hide the pain, but the mystery keep going on and on in the midst of my pain, I feel the desire to unfold, to unwind and to tell a story to let you see, to let you feel the mystery that is hidden deep within my soul, that call upon the layers of life, and the love it brings the joy it shows to help me to find my way, I burst within the layers with a smile on my face, with colors in my hand and an eagle wings I fly, and see the joy the mystery that unfolds the joy to my desire.**

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Am most proud of myself, because I never seem to stop, I’m always trying something new every chance I get, professionally I’m an artist and a creator of my clothing to fit my personalities and a writer and I’m pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology and at the moment I am also certified in emotional healing, healing affirmation, therapeutic bathing aromatherapy, spiritual counseling, and Angel healing. What keeps me busy? The creation of an art project that exploded to the individual that experienced the mystery for the first time, just to the light in their eyes that reaches their soul and connect to a moment lost in the past that brings them comfort, as an artist every creation of my doing is an hidden mystery to unfold to eyes that behold it’s charm and also as a healer because both have a connection to each other, whenever I take up a brush I feel the sense of comfort that put my mind at easy as I get lost in the colors I found myself fall in a time line where it feels like time stop and life begins, just like writing, the way the words come together to create memories, moment of passion that captivate ones heart and desires as it pulls them in a path of pleasure where the words wrapped them in comfort, put them together, painting, writing and making clothes and am in a place where life seems to be at easy no worries or pain an explosion of healing sensation, it’s as if the connection surround my being and lock me in a trance of a healing that flows in my veins as a life source.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Miami having a place that you called favor seem impossible, it’s hard to have a favorite spot because every location has it’s perks and it’s own mystery weather it’s going to the movie or a fun day at Dave and busters with the family, also the aquarium and the zoo is an wonderful place to visit or partying with friends, we all experience the layers to the mystery they unfolds in Miami, for example for each day it’s a different experience and an explosion of different memory, being on a week long trip there is lots of fun to have and places to go, either the beach to chill and soak up the sun, or bowling to have some low key fun, but in the night that’s a different experience in it self, there lovely spot on Collins avenue called Louie’s at the Palm House, amazing food and a relaxing atmosphere to chill back and enjoy the food and drinks, also there is a broad walk where you can take a walk after eating to experience the beautiful star sky, but for a night of partying their is also mango’s another amazing place where you can eat, drink and party, Wynwood is a beautiful place to be the experience is amazing because of the different cultures, there are a lot of different restaurants to try which is a amazing and different clubs to try, as my friend would club hopping, weather it live music or, a DJ the fun never until you fall face down on the bed or the couch.
