Meet Tamara Delaney | Event Planner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamara Delaney and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tamara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to introduce island sophistication with Bridal perspective. To forge together editorial, simplistic and yet tasteful looks for a bride and a groom.
Since I am better known for my creative work with writing an art, I wanted to bring a lot of myself through the work I’ve done in both weddings and events. To give new meaning to the term ‘ basic.’ Basic can still be beautiful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Wild Tamarind Bahamas is a one and a half year old event design, planning and creative content company. Best known for our simplistic, clean yet radiative events, we entertain both local, national and international clients to execute remarkable wonders originally suggested from our clients.
This company started in the center of a global pandemic, safe to say it was not easy. It was started by an unknown, with no monetary support or guide. However, it was the sheer knowledge of knowing that the essence of Wild Tamarind is based on unimaginable creativity – A belief that an event can be a deep rooted experience for the mind body and soul, that this project turned into a full-fledged company.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well, we live in Paradise. And in the epicenter of this paradise lies a lush of beaches, parties, peace and tranquility. Once you’re done getting your tan from the beach you get on a boat and sail away. Or – you can fish, swim with the dolphins, snorkel or just hang out on the docks. Once you’ve parked to the nearest shack and bar, you have yourself some signature conch salad. Once that’s over, all is left is a night of live music, or Junkanoo parade, perhaps a trip to the local strip and maybe a good conversation. It’s hard not to smile and laugh in paradise. that’s impossible.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To Andy, K, Richie and Sherrel. You guys have always believed in me before I have come into the betterment of myself. I recognize these very valuable people in my life since they saw all before it was existing and apparent.
I am truly grateful for these people. They keep me going time and time again.
