Meet Tami Jo Rawn | Master Lash Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tami Jo Rawn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tami Jo, how do you think about risk?
My life has been 1 big risk. I stove in situations where my back is against the wall and risk is my only option. I do not know how to live a peaceful risk free life, that thought makes me uncomfortable. With my career, eyelash extensions were such a “new thing”. That no one really knew what it was 10 years ago. So everyone told me I was crazy, and I would never succeed. But I knew, if I took the risk and put my head down and went to work, then the risk would pay off. 10 years later, I proved everyone wrong.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what has set me apart for 10 years is consistency to my skill, the need to constantly “one up” myself and compete only with myself. The lessons I’ve learned along my careers journey, have been Interesting. • Be careful what energy you allow around you
•Stand strong in your moral and work values
•Be consistent. Always
•take risks Especially when it feels the most scariest
•Do everything with Love

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
All of my Lash clients that have stayed loyal for 10 years to ensure that I succeed. I created a Lash Family with them, especially when my personal life fell apart, they were there to hold me up and to not loose focus. Also my 2 children, who would stay late at the lash shop, or would help decorate or simply fall asleep at the shop so I could work late. I created a family and that is my proudest part of my business!
